Our hotel has a pretty delicious breakfast. I had a veggie and sausage omelet, and a biscuit with blueberry jelly Tuesday morning.
We sat in sessions from 8-3:45 on Tuesday. This conference is all about RTI (Response to Intervention) in the classroom. It’s pretty interesting stuff! Buuut by the afternoon sessions, I was so tired of sitting all day.
It was beautiful outside, so when we all broke for lunch, our group headed outside and found a curb to sit on.
I saw these on Instagram and I NEED them. I love Toms. They are so comfortable. Plus, I love anything in a good cheetah print.
I was so worn out when we finished for the day. I called my Grandma to check on her, then laid down in bed for a few minutes.
I had over 18,000 steps yesterday. Ha! That helped with having to sit all day. I got these slip-on booties at Target awhile ago and they are SO comfortable. I have worn them to school, to weddings, and out on the town. They never hurt my feet! They’re the brand, DV.
I decided a glass of champagne was necessary before dinner.
We went to a Mexican restaurant for dinner. It wasn’t great, but it wasn’t terrible. I had a skinny margarita and a taco salad with shredded chicken.
When my alarm went off at 4AM, all I could think about was staying in bed. I laid there for about 15 minutes trying to talk myself into working out. Just as I was about to sleep a little longer, I remembered that I would be sitting ALL day long. I made myself get up, threw on my workout clothes, and hopped on the treadmill. I did 3 miles of incline work, which made the time go by quickly, then I lifted. I felt SO much better when I was finished. I know the day will be better now that I knocked out that workout. I never regret doing a workout, but I almost always regret NOT getting one in.
Off to day 2 of the conference! I am already sleepy, so we will see how today goes…
Happy Wednesday, friends!
