Sunshine run + pool time + family!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING, FRIENDS! We have much to be thankful for, even after the last few crummy months. I am thankful for my wonderful husband, my sweet family, knowing that my Grandma is in Heaven, the ability to run, my supportive runs, my precious angel pups, my job, and SO much more. I hope your today is spent with the people you hold dear. Here’s your reminder to wear stretchy pants… ; )

I was so tired on Wednesday morning since I didn’t go to bed until a little after 1AM. I slept in until about 8:30. I awakened to the smell of bacon, which in my opinion, is the best way to wake up. I had breakfast with my family, then we headed over to my grandparents’ house. They live on a golf course and it is beautiful. My Dad and Grandpa golfed, while everyone else went to the pool. While they swam, I got a quick 4-mile run in.

I saw this parked outside of the pool. Genius! What a way to get your water weights to the pool.

As much as I love winter running, I enjoyed the sunshine and jammed out to some country during my run.

My Springfield FitLife tank took on Florida.

The second I finished my run, I met everyone at the pool. My Grandma had this beer waiting for me. She gets me.

We relaxed and had some fun in the sun. The pool water was FREEZING, but this little cutie pie was tough and splashed around for awhile. I don’t know how she and my sister were in the water…they’re tougher than I am.

After the pool, we showered and got ready for dinner. Eleanor was sleepy, so I got lots of cuddles. I’m still working on her first phrase being, “Aunt Chelsea is my best friend!” It’ll happen.

We hung out at my grandparents’ house for a little bit, then headed to dinner. We ate at one of my favorite places, Craft Street Kitchen. They have the cutest presentation for beer flights. These have wine corks on the bottom and have a bunch of different license plates with mason jar lids to hold the glasses in place.

I got the Farro Bowl for dinner and holy cow – it was incredible. This had farro, avocado, tomatoes, roasted chickpeas and cauliflower, beets, and a salmon filet. Don’t you worry, I topped this with Sriracha before I inhaled it. I was SO full when I finished…

After dinner, we came back to our Airbnb and took a nap. Well, my Dad and I took a nap, everyone else went to bed. Jake got into town about midnight, so my Dad and I left about 11PM to go get him from the airport. I showed up in my jammies, which I’m sure everyone loved.

We are off to lunch with everyone once we get ready! I hope your Thanksgiving is incredible! Jake and I slept in so we didn’t get our run in…he thinks I’m going to run AFTER eating…stay tuned. ; )

Happy Thursday, friends!
