Big glasses and smoothies – there’s nothing better!
We had a busy day prepping for two data days with our teachers, so Tuesday FLEW BY. We were all secretly hoping for a snow day today. I usually don’t want a ton of snow days – I like getting out of school in May, but we were all pretty exhausted and it just sounded nice to have a day off. All of the coaches kept refreshing our weather apps throughout the day, HA! Somewhere in there, I had lunch. Black bean and chicken quesadilla. Mmm.
I was craving chips, so I hit up the vending machine. These hit the spot.
My after school meeting was canceled, so I came home, changed into sweats, and proceeded to be super lazy. Maybe it’s the weather that is making me feel extra blah, but I’ve just been feeling lazy lately. The girls and I cuddled on the couch until Jake got home.
We had a slight change of plans for dinner. We still had the sweet and sour chicken, because it was crazy delicious, but instead of cauliflower rice, we had cottage cheese and some leftover pizza rolls from the Super Bowl. Very random, but very good.
Lu really wanted to be fed, but she just couldn’t stand and pout anymore, so she had to sleep in between me and her bowl. This way, I wouldn’t forget to feed her…eye-roll.
Jake sent me this. How romantic is that? It gave me a pretty good laugh.
Welp, I woke up to a snow day!! Wahoo! It’s currently just sleeting, but I’m hoping for some snow later. Time to binge some Netflix, do laundry, and get a workout in!
My foot was sore when I woke up, so I think I’m going to take a few days off running. I am just starting a new lifting program, so I will do that every day. I am going to focus on stretching, foam rolling, and strength training to keep my mind off how bummed I get whenever I have to take time off running. It sucks, but I have some races in March and April I don’t want to miss, so this is the best choice right now.
Here are some of my favorite things!
I have this foam roller and swear by it. It’s only $12.99!
I have had a bunch of people ask me about the hot air hair brush that I use – this is it! Total. Game. Changer. I think it works best on damp hair, so I let my hair air dry for about 20-30 minutes before using this brush. A lot of my friends have ordered it and LOVE it, too.
This is the additive we put in our girls’ water every day. Stinky breath is GONE!
I used to suffer from insomnia. I tried EVERYTHING. I will still have the occasional restless night- maybe once every 3 months or so, but nothing like it was. I take these every night. They do not make me feel groggy when I wake up like some melatonin products do.
Happy Wednesday, friends!
