Back at it + that was tough + some of my favorite Amazon finds!

Just a girl, at work yesterday for the first time all week, with a mouth full of smoothie.

Lunch was more veggie pasta with meatballs. I am so happy lunches this week are warm. For some reason, the heat in our office wasn’t working yesterday, so we were all so cold. I’m sure that super great was for my sickness, too. I have all the layers and a huge comfy coat with me today just in case the heat isn’t working again.

It has been a while since I’ve cleared everything on my watch, so I did that yesterday. I feel like I am starting a new training cycle right now, so it seems like a good time to reset all of the records. It’s always fun when you reset because everything you do is a record.

Dinner last night was honey mustard chicken with sweet potato rounds and a salad. This was super easy to make. I chopped the chicken into bite-size pieces, covered it with ghee, stone ground mustard, and honey, then baked all of that at 375 for two rounds of 15 minutes. I stirred everything in-between. While the chicken was cooking, I sliced sweet potatoes, covered them with ghee and a Cajun seasoning, and cooked them in the AirFryer at 400 for three increments of 10 minutes. All of this in under 30 minutes? Yes, please! I made double of everything, so we will have it again tonight.

New day – same sweatshirt, same couch. We just started watching Longmire on Netflix. It is so good! We are both really enjoying it. I am so glad I asked everyone on Instagram for Netflix recommendations before I got sick. I got so many great new shows to watch. While I was sick, I watched all of Cheer and Sex Education, started You and Good Girls, and we started Longmire. So many great shows!

I told the girls last night that if I ran this morning, it was going to be on the treadmill because it was so cold and windy outside. I miss them and cannot wait to get back to my regular running routine. When my alarm went off at 4AM, the last thing I wanted to do was run. I still felt pretty crummy and was nervous about my foot hurting again. I had not gotten any miles in since Tuesday of last week. I told myself to just get on the treadmill and see how I felt. I ended up knocking out three easy miles with absolutely zero pain. It also made me feel a lot better. I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again, I have never regretted knocking out a run.

Here are some of my favorite Amazon finds! Click on the pictures for more information.

This collagen is my all-time favorite. I’ve been using it for probably two years. It’s unflavored, which I like. I add it to smoothies, oatmeal, coffee…anything. Since it’s unflavored, you can add it to whatever you’d like. I think it definitely helps keep my hair strong and keeps my nails growing. My hair dresser couldn’t believe how long my hair had gotten in the past year. I think it’s due to having collagen every day.

These spiral hair bands are perfect for keeping your hair off your face and not leaving marks in your hair. The longer my hair gets, the harder time I have leaving my hair down. I’m always pulling it back off of my face, but I want something where I can have it down again without worrying about marks in my hair. These are a game changer. They have all different colors, too.

Since I have coarse curly hair, my hair is usually frizzy. No matter what I do to it, there’s always some type of frizz. I started using this in the shower after I wash my hair with shampoo and conditioner and I think it’s helping! I put this on after I shampoo and condition. I leave it on for about 5 minutes, then rinse. It definitely cuts down on the frizzies.

I am obsessed with pens. Well, all office supplies really, but pens have my heart. These pens are the BEST. I love how they write and I love the colors. They don’t smear like other gel pens I have used, so that’s a huge win.

I have this zip-up hoodie in red and I get SO many compliments on it. It is SO cozy and the perfect thing to throw over any outside when you’re on the go. It runs true to size – I got a medium because I wanted it to be a little baggy – I usually wear a small.

These slippers are the bomb. When I first got them, I thought they were too tight, but they loosened up after a few days of wearing them and now they are perfect. I like these because they keep your feet warm, but also let them breathe. They’re hard on the bottoms, so I will even wear these outside to take the trash out or something like that. They’re some of my favorite slippers. I wear a 7 in regular shoes, so I ordered these in the 7-7.5 option.
I have shared before that getting my nails done at the salon gives me anxiety. I know it’s weird, but I HATE when they use the electric file and cut my cuticles. I ALWAYS end up bleeding or having a sore finger. Always. So, I quit going. I’m not saying I won’t go back, but for now, I am finding other ways to have my nails done. I have been using these glue-on nails and am super impressed with them. They last anywhere from a week to two for me. I am super hard on my nails, so nothing ever lasts long. Even when I went to the salon, I would somehow chip a nail or ruin something pretty quickly. I really like these – they’re quick to put on and look amazing. They’re a shorter length, too, which I like.

I have this cardigan in yellow and get compliments every time I wear it. I honestly forgot I got it on Amazon until I was looking through my past orders. I HIGHLY recommend this if you’re a cardigan fan. It’s super warm, which I wasn’t expecting. I love it.

I get a lot of questions about the throw pillows on our bed. They say, “I like Her Butt” and “I like His Beard”. I love these on our bed. We have all white, so the black lettering gives a good pop against all the white. Plus, Jake has a super great beard.

Here’s another pair I found that says, “I like Her Butt” and “I like His Muscles”. So cute!

Hope you enjoy!

Happy Friday Eve, friends!
