Weekend Wrap-up!

I have been craving eggs for breakfast in the AM, so that’s what I’ve been having! Have I mentioned how much I love breakfast food? It’s a lot. Eggs with ketchup, half a bagel with PB and honey, and a chicken sausage patty. Mmmm.

Friday morning was spent lounging in bed, sipping on coffee, watching Netflix with my girls. It was amazing.

I love this graphic. So. Much. Sending everyone virtual hugs.

I had a long run on the schedule for Saturday morning, so I got all of my stuff ready Friday night. I have a fairly sensitive stomach, so I have tried to find things that don’t cause any issues. I have been using Skratch products for about 3 years now and swear by them. I found Hüma Gel about 1.5/2 years ago and I haven’t used anything else since. They taste SO good and aren’t as thick as other gels I have tried, so they are a lot easier to eat while running.

Jake picked up dinner from The Pitch for us Friday night. We are still trying to support our favorite local restaurants and breweries.

In case anyone is struggling right now, Sam’s is hiring! If you have been laid off or had your hours cut down during this time, please know I am thinking about you. I will continue to share things that I think might be helpful. Link HERE.

I showed this to Jake and he said this describes me perfectly. Haha! I have to agree…

Low quality picture, high quality whiskey. Mmm.

Saturday morning started with my girls and some sunshine! It was much needed by all of us. We knocked out 14 miles together.

Sometimes after a long run, you just need to sprawl out in the street.

Saturday night, we had plans to meet another couple outside of Metro Grill for their curbside pick-up. Still trying to support our favorite local places!

We sat in the back of my car while Ashley and Cameron sat on the tailgate of their truck. We had such a blast chatting, listening to music, and chowing down on delicious food.

Metro always brings out this incredible bread and dipping sauce after you order. It is seriously my favorite thing.

We got all of this deliciousness. Everything was SO good.

Social distancing & delicious food.

Sunday morning, I slept in, then made breakfast. I was going to give blood later in the day, so I wanted to make sure I had some good food in my system.

img_9540

It had been awhile since I had donated. I told Jake that I am going to start giving blood consistently. It’s such a small gesture, but can help so many people. As long as I am able to do so, I am going to.

Alex went with me, too. It was actually her idea, so huge thank you to Alex for encouraging me to go! Link HERE.

Poor thing – her vein kept clotting and she got super light headed, so she had to stop before she was finished. We both think it was probably from her being a little dehydrated after our long run Saturday.

Another awesome part of giving blood – the snacks!

I was pretty lazy Sunday. It was my last official day of spring break, so I soaked it up. I am not going back to work yet since schools are still out, but I will start working from home today. I’m not sure what that will look like or how long it will last, but I am ready to get started.

For dinner last night, we picked up Thai food from Everyday Thai. It’s some of our favorite. Their Pad Thai with tofu is out of this world. We also grabbed some cans from 4 By 4 Brewing – they’re also offering curbside ordering. So awesome! We love our local joints, so we want to support them as much as we can.
