Weekend Wrap-up!

This weekend was such a fun one! I got to spent most of it at the lake celebrating one of my favorite brides-to-be, Jordan. We had a much needed girls’ weekend full of delicious food, good drinks, and ALL the laughter. My abs are still sore from laughing so much. Before I headed for the lake, I got some cuddles in with Jake and our girls and had the most delicious lunch – a lentil, spinach, and dairy-free cheese wrap.

Lu and Rhea got sad when I started packing my bag. This one wouldn’t leave my side.

After lunch, it was off to the lake for some girl time!

Teamwork makes the dream work! We made quick work of some fun decorations for the weekend. Our friend, Val, brought the coolest stuff to make a gorgeous balloon wreath for Jordan.

After some time at the lake house, we all loaded up into the car and headed for a winery. The three of us rode in the very back of the car…not the best decision when you get car sick. HA!

We had the most delicious wine slushes at the Shawnee Bluff winery. These slushes were SO good. Plus, check out this view. Gorgeous!

Dinner was also delicious – sweet potato fries and a salad. Mmm.

We got to watch the most incredible sunset. I love being at the lake.

Saturday afternoon was spent on the dock and playing in the water. Check out these amazing koozies that Jordan got for us. They made me laugh!

Check out this beautiful bride! I hate that her wedding plans have been altered so many times, but she is making the best of it!

The ultimate girl gang!

We played in the water forever Saturday afternoon, then finally took a fuel break. We inhaled all of the snacks.

A few of us needed to be back home by Saturday evening, so we left the lake late Saturday afternoon and headed home. Jake and I grabbed dinner and then crawled into bed. We were both worn out. Sunday morning consisted of a little sleeping in and some meal prep. I prepped oatmeal again and made a big oatmeal bowl for myself. I prepped 2.5 cups of dry oatmeal, which should last us just about the whole week.

I spent most of Sunday on the couch, on my computer, but I made sure to take lots of cuddle breaks. Lu likes to crawl into tight spaces and pass out, so she shoved her body in-between mine and the couch and took a little snooze. She’s goofy.

After a little more computer work, I ran to the grocery store, then had lunch. I had a lentil, spinach, and dairy-free wrap with different chips and watermelon on the side. I love watermelon, especially in the summer. Is there anything better than watermelon on a hot day? I say no.

Oh my heart…look at baby Lu in a tutu. That sock monkey was her favorite toy and she carried it everywhere with her.

When I finished some work, Rhea needed some cuddles, so I took another cuddle break. She liked it more than she’s showing…I think.

Jake and I met my parents for dinner Sunday evening, then came back home and crawled into bed. It was a wonderful weekend! I hope yours was, too!

Happy Monday, friends!
