Weekend Wrap-up

We had a really great weekend. My grandparents from Florida (my Dad’s parents) are in town visiting, so we got to spend lots of time with them. Friday started with a breakfast and coffee at Architect Coffee, then I met the girls to walk for a little bit. I had the breakfast burrito and it was outstanding.

After our walk, I came back home and made a monster smoothie. Topped with whipped cream, of course.

After my smoothie, I hopped on the computer for a meeting. I tried to take a picture to document that without being obvious. HA!

After my meeting, I headed over to my parents’ to spend time with my family. The girls went with me and were so excited to play with Eleanor. (My sister and brother-in-law don’t want pictures of her face online, which is why I share the ones I do.)

Eleanor and I played in a teepee, but it kept collapsing on us.

Rhea really wanted to cuddle with my sister.

Just some cuddling and book reading.

Saturday morning was SO great – I got to run with my girls!!

We knocked out 6 miles in the rain and it was amazing. I think I smiled the entire time.

I had a breakfast burrito after our run and it was delicious.

I’ve been adding this to my coffee and holy yum….it’s SO good.

After breakfast, I headed back over to my parents’ to hang out with everyone. I took some work with me and worked while we watched old home videos. I got more Eleanor cuddles, too.

I came back to the apartment to do some laundry and finish up more work. I had a sandwich and roasted seaweed for lunch – YUM.

Jake and I headed out for a little dinner date when he got home from work Saturday.

We shared the crab rangoon dip from Lindberg’s, which was outstanding. We also shared a sandwich, but we inhaled it before I could get a picture.

We sat outside and enjoyed the chilly weather and views.

Sunday morning started with coffee and a breakfast burrito before heading out on a bike ride.

Kayla and I knocked out 25 miles. It was COLD when we started. The wind made it even colder. When the sun finally came out,  we were both so happy.

You can’t beat these views.

Sometimes you just need to take a leaf throwing picture break…

I was starving after our ride – I had a sandwich and chips and hummus.

Jake’s sweet momma and sister got us this beautiful mum. I took it over to our house so we can enjoy it there.

My friend, Brittany, introduced me to these drinks. They’re SO good.

If you know me, you know I love “That’s what she said” jokes. I saw this welcome mat on Amazon and couldn’t resist. HA!

We gave my grandparents a tour of our new house Sunday evening, then headed out for dinner at Millwood. Jake and I shared the fried chicken, which was delicious.

I have lots of work to knock out today, and I cannot wait to get a little run in!

Happy Monday, friends!
