Monday started with a little sleeping in, remembering my sweet Grandma, and a delicious breakfast before going to the gym. This bowl has purple sweet potatoes, Japanese sweet potatoes, brussels, apple chicken sausage, and two eggs. SO good.
After the gym, I had a quick meeting, then headed over to the house to start painting! EEK. I was so excited. Here’s one last picture before paint went on.
It took me about 6 hours, but I got the first coat of paint finished yesterday. That sure felt like an accomplishment! I will for sure do a second coat and a maybe a third. We will see how things look after the second. Here’s the color we chose! It’s a Benjamin Moore Historic Color – it’s called Chelsea Gray. I LOVE it.
I finished painting about 5:30ish. I was pooped. I headed home and made a PB&J. I added some chia seeds to it for good measure. Lazy dinner, but so delicious.
I was so worn out, but felt very accomplished. I’m not sure if I will get the doors painted before we move in, but that’s not a priority right now. We are about to start painting walls, so I will help Jake with that once he is ready. If I can get the doors painted and back on, that will be awesome, but I’m in no rush. As long as I have everything inside the house ready to go, I will feel good.
I poured a little glass of whiskey and laid in bed watching Grey’s for a little bit before going to sleep. It felt so good to do nothing. I think the girls liked it, too.
I met my running girls for some miles this morning. I have been pretty sore and haven’t been recovering like I need to – there just isn’t enough time in the day!! So, I did a little foam rolling before my run. I have got to make it a point to stretch and soak…
Foam rolling becomes a sport if Rhea is around. She tries to cuddle you so hard that she can knock you off the roller.
7 miles to start my day! I will head to the gym in a little bit, then it’s back to the house for coat #2! Jake is off today and I can’t wait to spend time with him at the house.
Happy Tuesday, friends!
