I have been staying up later than usual lately, just trying to get things finished at the house/pack, so that’s making it difficult to get up in the mornings. I slept in until about 8 yesterday, then got up and Rhea and I went for a 3 mile run in the sunshine.
I accidentally got this pictures of her and I love it. I think she has a smile plastered on her face throughout every run.

I love when Spotify does their ‘Wrapped’ stuff at the end of the year. They tell you your favorite artists, songs, etc. Here are mine. I LOVE Thomas Rhett. He’s my go-to listen no matter what I’m doing. Thomas Rhett was followed by Kacey Musgraves, Morgan Wallen, Miranda Lambert, and Justin Bieber.
This does not surprise me at all. If I had a dollar for every time I played Thomas Rhett radio, I’d be a millionaire.
I had a couple meetings yesterday, so I packed when I could in-between them.
The chaos slowly grew as the day went on. That wall to the right is now completely covered in boxes.
I realized I didn’t have anything prepped for lunch, so I threw together a quick salad with two tuna packets and some Paleo puffs.
After lunch, I packed the rest of the day until my last meeting at 6:30. My mentor all through my doctoral program was stepping down as president of a literacy association I’m a part of, so I had been invited to her private reception. Each person attending was surprised with $30 to order in food during the reception while everyone spent time together via Zoom. It was so fun! I ordered McAlister’s, which was delicious.
This was such a fun event. I am so proud to know Betsy Baker – she is one amazing woman! I would never have survived getting my PhD without her.
Here we are at my graduation with my Dad. This is still one of my favorite days.
Jake got back from working at the house around 8PM, so we got to hang out for a little bit. That was really nice! It was weird not being over there at all yesterday. It’s not very often I go a whole day without working there. Lu made her bed on Jake’s pillows and was mad when we went into the room to go to bed…
I slept in again today…I’m just worn out. I don’t know if I’ll get a run in today. We are going to start painting tomorrow, so Jake and I are working on some stained trim today. We will see how things go! I don’t have any meetings today, so that is wonderful!
