Our house may still be a bit of a disaster, but that’s nothing new shoes can’t fix!
We stocked up on Altras before the end of the year. I got a new pair of road shoes (Torin, what I’ve worn for about 4 years), two trail shoes (Olympus and Timp – Timp haven’t come in yet), workout shoes (Solstice), and some every day slip-ons (Tokala). We. Love. Altra.
Rhea and I headed out for a couple of miles in the sunshine.
I wore my new gloves from rabbit. I got THESE and love them. The color I have is sold out, but they still have a pretty blue.
After a run, it was back home for breakfast with this guy. Of course our first real meal in the new house consisted of breakfast burritos. YUM.
After breakfast, I finished up all grades for the semester. I am now officially on winter break! Wahoo! I enjoyed the view of our sunroom while I worked.
I failed to take pictures, so I will get some later to share, but I spent the rest of Thursday unpacking and organizing the kitchen. It felt so good to get that done. I still need to finish my cabinet doors, but at least now all of our kitchen stuff is out of boxes and put away. I feel like the kitchen is the hardest thing to organize.
My parents took me to dinner while Jake was at work. We went to Cesar’s and my Mom and I enjoyed their sangria. It’s the best.
They also have one of my favorite taco salads – I get al pastor meat (pork and pineapple) on it.
I was attempting to organize our dressers and closets after dinner…Lu made herself a bed amid the chaos. My plan for today is to get our clothes put away and maybe paint cabinets or our master closets. We will see what all I can get to.
My hand has been killing me lately, so my parents brought over one of my Dad’s carpal tunnel braces for me to wear. It helped! I think between painting and being on my computer a lot, something got flared up.
I woke up to Rhea and Lu in-between us this morning. Rhea likes to be as close to us as possible. It’s extra nice in the winter because she’s so warm and fuzzy.
Breakfast before getting to work this morning.
Happy Friday, friends!
