I took a nap in-between my run and the gym yesterday. It was amazing. After the gym, I spent a few hours working on my computer. Since I received approval to begin my next study, I started sending out emails to potential participants. My sent folder looks like this…this next study will use interviews to gather information. I love conducting interviews, so I am excited to begin.
Lunch was chickpea salad, guac and crackers, and green grapes.
I received the most exciting email yesterday – my application for my very first grant/fellowship was accepted! This money will go toward my current study – I will be able to pay for a transcription service (to transcribe interviews – it takes FOREVER), and will pay my participants for their time. The second I saw this email, I couldn’t stop smiling.
Someone shared this on Instagram and I loved it. If we’re worried about something and it is occupying space in our brain, pray about it.
This is Rhea’s favorite spot to lounge outside. We will be having concrete and dirt work done soon…I can’t wait to see how that work will change our yard/patio area. Eek!
When your favorite argan oil is hard to find, you stock up whenever you see it. This is the BEST argan oil I’ve ever used. It smells amazing and really helps my coarse, dry hair stay moisturized.
Here’s a link to the oil – I use it every single day. When I wash my hair, I put it on my hair while it’s wet, and once my hair is dry, I put a little on each night before bed.
I ran out of shampoo and conditioner last week, so I wanted to try something new. I did some research on the best shampoo and conditioner for curly hair. This Maui Moisture got the best reviews AND it’s only $6.99 a bottle. I’ve used it twice and love it. The smell is amazing, it really does leave my hair moisturized and soft, and it has all clean ingredients. Highly recommend if you have curly hair and are looking for a new shampoo and conditioner. Here’s the shampoo.
Here’s the conditioner.
Here is the link to those calming bites again – our girls love them and they really help calm them when it’s storming.
Okay, my next project is finally tackling our closet doors! These go in our master for my closet and our guest room – I already painted Jake’s closet door. It took me about two hours to sand and wipe them all down. The prep work always takes the longest…and it’s the least fun…
I got the first coat of paint finished about 8:30PM. I was very ready for bed.
I took a dinner break in-between prepping the doors and painting – leftover cauliflower noodles, ground beef and and pasta sauce, plus a salad on the side.
A family friend recommend this book to me when I finished my last one (East of Mecca), which I loved. I stayed up until 11PM last night, which I never do, because I couldn’t put this one down either! This was a great, fast read. Thank you, Stacey, for the wonderful recommendation! Now I need another book…
Happy Friday, friends!
