I had what I ‘THINK’ is my last meeting of the year yesterday. I didn’t need my camera on, so I rocked sweats and did not look professional.
Lunch was another chickpea gyro. I need to remember how easy tzatziki sauce was to make – it’s just greek yogurt, cucumbers, vinegar, dill, salt, and pepper. It would be good on so many things – sandwiches, salads, with crackers…yum. I just added everything to taste, you know I don’t like following recipes, so if you make any, just taste test after adding things.
I finished up with some work ahead of schedule, so I crawled into bed to take a quick nap. I couldn’t fall asleep, so I ended up reading for about an hour. A friend at my gym gave me a new book, it’s called “The Girl With the Louding Voice”. It’s SO good. Yes, Mom, you can borrow it when I’m finished! ; ) Thank you, Lori, for the great read!!
I had an interview with another one of the participants for my new research study, then I hopped on the treadmill. I ran 3 miles and walked 1. Our ride got canceled last night due to bad weather, but it is rescheduled for tonight – I’m excited!
We are SO excited about our new gift for Eleanor – a Strider bike! I meant to get this for her for her birthday in March, but totally spaced it. We finally remembered to order it and Jake got it all set-up. I hope she can come over today and ride it around! These bikes are so cool – this particular one can be ridden from 18 months to 5 years.
Dinner was chicken poppers, crackers and hummus, and a cauli rice/brown rice mixture. We watched Seaspiracy last night, and if you haven’t seen it, I highly recommend it. WOW. It broke my heart, but was extremely informative. If you’ve seen it, let me know what you thought.
After the documentary, we walked back to our room for bed and saw this. She always puts herself to bed around 8:30/9PM.
Since I’ve been struggling to get up in the mornings, I told my running girls that I’ll just text them morning of if I’m awake. This morning, family cuddles definitely won over getting up early, HA! This girl loves to cuddle. She takes over my side of the bed, too. Always.
Lu got jealous and wanted in on some cuddles, too.
Thennnn Jake joined us. Family cuddles are the best cuddles.
Happy Wednesday, friends!
