I didn’t get to finish this book since it was due back to the library, but I read a few chapters and found it super interesting. The author explains what has happened to make our foods change flavor and how those changes affect our health. It’s full of great information. I will definitely check this out again to finish it.
Lunch was pizza and salad. I found a gluten-free/dairy-free fire roasted veggie pizza at Mama Jeans and wanted to give it a try. It was amazing! This one was by Cadia and I was impressed with it.
I spent the afternoon working on one of my three classes for the fall semester. I will be teaching the same three courses I taught last fall (minus one), so I just have some minor tweaks to make to each course. I want students to have the most relevant information, so I need to spend some time researching and reading new things. Other than that, setting up my fall courses should be pretty simple. I had a snack break of some banana bread – yum!
I had a smoothie last night made out of all this goodness, plus ice cubes and frozen mango chunks. I love adding half an avocado to smoothies. It makes them SO creamy.
I added some chocolate cereal to the top and chowed down while watching Bridesmaids. I hadn’t seen that movie in forever. I had forgotten how funny it was!
Before bed, I started another book – Leaving Time by Jodi Picoult. I only had time to read two chapters, but I didn’t want to stop reading. I am excited to get into this book a little more today!
This is how Rhea slept – with her head under our bed and her tennis ball, that she stole from her sister, not far from her.
Happy Friday, friends!
