Improvement + fall decorations make me happy + day 2…

This morning, we knocked out our 5k much faster than yesterday, which is pictured below. Both yesterday and today were faster than when I first started walking a few weeks ago. Small improvements are still improvements! When I first started walking, I was pretty close to 22ish minutes per miles. Yesterday, we got down to 19:15 per mile, and today was around 17:50ish or so. This improvement has just been happening on its own – I’m not trying to walk faster. It also helps that my energy is back!

I had day 1 of an all-day conference yesterday. It was a LONG day. Lunch was another one of my current favorite meals – the buffalo chicken salad and Cheetos.

Baby boy and I took lots of standing/walking breaks. By the end of the conference, I was a little cranky. I hate sitting for that long.

Lu didn’t mind it at all. She slept in this strange position most of the day.

After the conference, I did a little retail therapy at Walmart. I found some super cute clothes that fit (YAY!) and could not pass up the Halloween candy. I LOVE candy corn and pumpkins. I don’t know which one I like better…

Walmart also had the cutest hats and I loved these cheetah slides. You can never have enough cheetah print!

Nothing sounded for dinner and I heard a commercial for pizza, so then I couldn’t get pizza out of my mind. I ordered Domino’s. Pepperoni, pineapple, and jalapeños. I regretted this choice almost immediately. I had the WORST heartburn the rest of the night. I don’t even want to eat the leftovers…

Domino’s parmesan bites are out of this world.

I finished up a little fall decorating. It is a little tricky to decorate while your house is under construction, but it feels good to have some fun things to put up.

This morning was day 3 of my early gym and 5k combo. I went to bed early last night, which was MUCH needed.

We knocked out our 5k before I got ready for day 2 of my conference.

Comfy sweats on bottom, business up top. I love Zoom for this reason.

Gang’s all here – the last of our mini quiches, Kefir yogurt, and coffee. I love breakfast.
