YUM + meeting treat hack + doctor’s appointment!

This Zucchini Blueberry Oatmeal Bake is pretty delicious! It’s very dense and filling. I followed THIS recipe.

Lunch was another turkey burger on a piece of sourdough, topped with Pepper Jack cheese and honey mustard, plus some crunchy, cheesy broccoli on the side. I ate this while working on the computer, right before my one and only meeting yesterday.

Meeting hack – always have treats. I guess that’s really just a life hack, huh? Candy corn and salted peanuts are one of my favorite fall treats. I made a little bowl that I snacked on during our faculty meeting yesterday. I take Minutes for our meetings, so I have to really pay attention the whole time. When I first started taking Minutes last spring, it was a little tricky because I didn’t know everyone yet. I think taking Minutes has not only helped me get to know my colleagues, but has also helped me learned VERY quickly all the things that go on in the School of Education. I actually enjoy taking the Minutes, too. It gives me a purpose during meetings.

My furry co-workers are pretty useless at home…Rhea sprawls out like this all the time and it always cracks me up.

Baby Boy and I had a doctor’s appointment yesterday. He is growing just like he should and his heart rate was 153 and sounded SO strong. The doctor told me this really cool trick I had never heard, she said you can measure from your pubic bone to the top of your uterus and find out if baby is measuring where he/she should be. She showed me yesterday and I am right at 17 cm and some change, which is where we are currently; I’ll be 18 weeks tomorrow. It was SO cool. You can feel where the top of your uterus is from pressing down on your belly, which is crazy. I had no clue that’s one way to measure!

After my appointment, I vacuumed and dusted our living room one more time from when we sanded, then made dinner. Dinner was brown sugar salmon, crunchy veggies, and cottage cheese. I could only eat one piece of the salmon, but everything was so delicious.

After dinner, we cuddled on the couch and watched The Office while doing laundry. Lu got lots of smooches, whether she wanted them or not.

I don’t have any meetings today – AMAZING! This week has been such a nice break from meetings. I am going to knock out some work, hit up the gym, knock out more work, then get a 90-minute prenatal massage. I am SO excited. My birthday is tomorrow and the day is a little busy, so I’m going to get a little pampering today to prepare. ; )

I had to update my blog and there’s a new editor to use when I create each post…I do not like it. We’ll see it if changes anything once I post. We’ll also see how long it takes for me to get used to it…

Happy Friday Eve, friends!
