This weekend was such a great one! I feel like I got to celebrate my birthday all weekend long. My 33rd birthday was on Friday and the day started with puppy cuddles at the gym. AMAZING. Look at this little baby? I loved him.
Lunch on Friday was leftover Hinode during a two-hour conference. It was almost better as leftovers. SO good.
During my conference, I got the BEST deliveries – FLOWERS! My birth mom and her boyfriend sent me this gorgeous bouquet. Thank you, Dawn and Mitch!
And a few minutes later, this bouquet was delivered from Jake! He always send me flowers from Ozark Mtn Flower Truck, which my gal pal, Cassie, owns. Her bouquets are always amazing. I felt very spoiled!
I didn’t feel great Friday night, so we stayed home and relaxed. It was so nice. We had pasta for dinner – I added cottage cheese to the top of mine and holy yum – it was amazing!
After dinner, we grabbed Andy’s. Lu thought both pup cones were for her…
Family ice cream dates are my favorite.
Of course I HAD to get the pumpkin pie concrete. One of my favorites! It was everything I hoped it would be.
We slept in Saturday morning, then walked to get coffee and breakfast.
For lunch, we shared Peking House. It was amazing, as always.
Lu was tuckered out after our morning walk. I found her passed out in our bathroom.
I very much feel this. I cannot do both a daytime activity AND an evening activity. Only one or the other!
My new old Navy pants came in! It is SO wonderful to have clothes that fit, ha! I love this pair – I also have them in black. They don’t even look like maternity pants – win-win.
This was an accidental photo – I was trying to take a picture of the event, but I failed to get any other pictures, so this one will have to do. Saturday evening, we met some friends for an event at Mother’s Brewing. We sat outside and listened to live music. It was so much fun! Jake and I realized we hadn’t been to an event in Springfield since May! So crazy.
Jake golfed with my Dad and his parents Sunday morning, so my Mom and I went to brunch. We shared all of this deliciousness.
After brunch, I went to the grocery store, then had some leftovers for lunch – pasta, beef sauce, zucchini, and cottage cheese. Mmmm.
We still need to repaint our ceiling in here and hang our TV on the fireplace, but I was missing our fall decorations, so I put them back up until we paint.
Jake and I have been searching for nursery furniture. We are completely fine with used items, so we have been watching for good deals. We have just about everything for Baby Boy’s nursery now! We got his crib for $25, his rug for $75, a dresser for $100, and this brand new recliner (which retails for $400-600), for $199! We were so excited. Since we don’t have the nursery set-up quite yet, we put the glider recliner in our living room. It is SO comfortable. I love good deals.
I did not do the best job taking pictures this weekend. We had our families over Sunday evening for dinner and to watch football. The Cowboys played early and then the Chiefs played. It was so nice to relax and hang out with everyone. This is the only picture I took the entire night…
I went to the gym early this morning, then knocked out half of my 5k before another all-day conference today.
These two were SO ready to go on our walk. The second they finished eating, they knew it was time.
Monday is usually my day to grade and knock out LOTS of work for the week, so we’ll see what I’m able to do while attending this conference. These all-day conferences are tough. I THINK this is my last one for awhile…
Happy Monday, friends!
