Our weekend was so great – it was full of relaxing, spending time with family, and knocking out some things around the house. I was still on a pancake kick Friday morning, so I made pancakes and cheesy eggs for breakfast. Eggs sound disgusting to me right now unless they’re scrambled and have cheese mixed in…pregnancy and food is so strange.

The girls and I got out for our daily 5k at some point on Friday. It was warm and the sun was shining, which felt great, but I am SO ready for cooler weather.

I was craving the veggie sandwich from Jimmy John’s, so I grabbed that for lunch. I always add hot peppers to anything I get from Jimmy John’s…they gave me instant heartburn this time. Still worth it. I think…

I have been using these pens for about three years now. They are my all-time favorite. I didn’t know they made a 20 pack, so when I saw these, I jumped on buying them.

If you’re looking for amazing pens, look no further!
When Jake got home from work Friday, we ran to the grocery store to grab steaks and brussels. I cannot stop eating brussels lately…plus, Jake is the best griller in the whole world. This dinner was outstanding.

After dinner, we relaxed on our back patio while the girl chewed on steak bones. We haven’t finished this space yet (story of our lives), but it’s so nice to at least have the concrete poured and comfy places to sit.

Saturday morning started with trail time at Fellow Lake. Lu and I walked while Jake and Rhea ran. It was a beautiful morning. Plus, how can you not absolutely love these views?

Lu had zero time for pictures with her Mom. Too many adventures were calling her name.

We knocked out our 5k, then waited for Jake to finish his 8+ miles. Jake is feeling MUCH better after his hundred. He’s been seeing a chiropractor, a massage therapist, and a physical therapist. All the things! I think he is going to attempt another hundred later this month since he is all trained up for one and doesn’t have an injury. I will keep you updated! Back to Saturday…Lu was patiently waiting on her Dad and sister to finish their run. I can’t believe my girl will be 9 this year.

Drink break before loading up in the car and heading home.

Rhea cracks me up. She is always sprawled against something – us, a wall, a door…and now floor transitions? HA!

I was super tired after our walk, so I laid down in bed. The next thing I know, I had slept for THREE hours. I couldn’t believe it. I was a little bummed because I had some things I wanted to get done that day, but I guess I must’ve needed the sleep. When I finally got out of bed, I prepped our breakfast for the week – a casserole with hash browns, sausage, mushroom, biscuits, and egg. I totally spaced on adding cheese to the top, so we will just add it each day when we heat everything up.

Saturday evening, Jake and I headed to the grand opening of Finley Farms. There were all kinds of different things there all weekend, which was awesome. We sat and enjoyed some live music, which was a blast. I’m SO glad live music is coming back. I have missed it!

Guys, maybe Baby B is going through a growth-spurt, but after taking a three hour nap Saturday, I also slept 12 hours on Sunday! I couldn’t believe it. I didn’t get out of bed until 9:30 Sunday morning. It was crazy. But it worked out well because we were able to meet Jake’s parents and sister for breakfast. His parents had just gotten home from vacation, so it was super nice to see them and get caught up. Lunch later that day was this deliciousness – an entire bag of brussels and a chicken wrap. I bought some Chick-fil-A Polynesian sauce at the grocery store and it was the best decision I’ve ever made.

After lunch, I got started on a little more meal prep for the week. I made some pumpkin energy balls and they’re amazing.

Here’s the recipe for the pumpkin energy balls. They are DELICIOUS. Jake isn’t a huge pumpkin fan, but he loves them, too.

I couldn’t decide what sounded good for lunches. When in doubt, go with chicken salad.

We had some bananas that were going to go bad, so I made a load of pumpkin banana bread. I kind of followed THIS recipe. It’s SO good!

So. Dang. Good.

I found these bento boxes at Home Goods and had to get them. They’re perfect for Jake’s lunches.

When our fridge looks like this, it makes me so happy. Knowing that we have breakfast, lunch, and snacks all ready for the week really makes our week go by SO much smoother. It also keeps me from eating donuts and pancakes for every meal…which is what I’m craving right now.

Sunday night consisted of Firehouse Subs and watching the Chiefs’ game. Jake and I are both obsessed with the sauce from Firehouse Subs. I have no clue what is in it, but it is maybe my favorite sauce…and that’s saying something!

Monday morning gym time! This is the lowest I can go right now for deadlifts, so we were trying to figure out what I can do next time…I am still thankful for any and all movement and that modifications are endless. I am feeling baby boy all the time now and I love it. He’s definitely the most active at night when I’m trying to sleep, but I smile every time he moves. He’s actually moving around right now as I type this. Jake has been able to feel him a few times, too. Less than 20 weeks until we get to meet him!

Happy Monday, friends!
