We got to see baby boy again yesterday! It was wonderful. At our first anatomy scan in October, the ultrasound tech wasn’t able to get all of the images she needed, so they scheduled a follow-up for a month later to finish up. Since we did IVF, we also had an echo of baby’s heart at this time, which is common monitoring for IVF babies. We were excited to get to see our little one again.
I am so hot all the time. I stripped down to a tank top while we waited for our appointment to start.
Everything is perfect! We are beyond thankful for this sweet, healthy baby boy. All of his organs are developing like they should, his heart echo came back perfect, and while we may be a biased, we think he’s the cutest thing we’ve ever seen. His little profile gets me every time.
In the middle of my scan, which took a little over an hour, I turned to Jake and said I NEEDED an IC Turtle from Panera when we finished. He took me through the drive-thru as soon as we finished with our appointment. Best husband ever.
Last week, I shared that my sweet friend, Alex, sent me the cutest tank top that says, Mama Needs a Run. Well, she also sent this onesie! They were just delivered separately. Thank you, Alex!!! Baby B and I cannot wait to go on runs together. <3
I threw all of this goodness into my crockpot yesterday to make beef stew for dinner. Carrots, potatoes, beef, celery, beef broth, turmeric, garlic, salt, and pepper. It made our house smell heavenly.
We have been easing back into the swing of things after being gone for Jake’s race. His body is still healing and I loved relaxing with him. He went back to work this morning, so I did a little meal prep for lunches – rice, broccoli, and chicken. We are out of town again this weekend, so we didn’t need a ton of food to be prepped. I am still loving these bento boxes for packing Jake’s lunches. They make it so easy. I got these from Home Goods.
I added some sourdough to our stew and we had a little date night at home. We watched Something Borrowed on Netflix – it was a cute movie!
I haven’t been to the gym since last Thursday, so I got up and went today. It felt so good to be back. I know I will be sore later. I definitely function better when I’m able to be on my normal schedule, but I loved having Jake home and taking things easy with him.
Happy Wednesday, friends!
