The sweetest neighbors + we can see the floor again! + girls’ nights are good for the soul

Y’all, super exciting news – we can see the floors again in our dining room! YAY! Jake and his Dad worked Monday night to get outlets wired and lights hung. Thank you, Jeff!!!! We are so blessed to have family close by willing to lend a helping hand. Thank you, thank you! While the guys worked, I grabbed dinner for us from Peking House. I have still been struggling to get veggies in, but I always feel better when I at least eat a few, so I got General Chicken and asked for a cup of broccoli with it. It was perfect! I need to remember to do this any time we get Chinese.

We got some new neighbors a few months and finally met them on Halloween. They are wonderful! They have two very young babies and are just the nicest people. They brought over a homemade pecan pie for us on Sunday. How thoughtful is that?? We finally got to try some Monday and it is delicious. The wife just had her second baby four weeks ago, so I was picking her brain like crazy about being a new mom. I am excited to get to know them better!

I vacuumed up all the dust and mess from hanging lights and wiring outlets, then Jake pulled up the paper that had been covering the floor in our dining room. We haven’t seen this floor since May! It’s amazing to look out there and not see a construction zone. Jake has some small things to finish in here, I can’t wait to get our big light fixture hung, but the room is ready. YAY! Rhea joined Jake in a little relaxation on the floors before bed.

Look! I added mushrooms to my cheesy eggs to get some veggies in at breakfast. HA! Cheesy eggs and waffles are still happening over here.

I ran errands all day Tuesday, so made a lunch I could enjoy on the go – Cookies and Cream protein powder, spinach, almond milk, ice, and peanut butter. Mmm.

I am pretty much only able to wear slip-ons if Jake isn’t home to help me with shoes right now. Thankfully, most of my shoes were already slip-ons…I guess I’ve always liked the ease of not having laces to tie.

I love these linen maternity pants from Old Navy, but they can get SUPER stretched out if you get hot while wearing them. I’m hot all the time right now, so by the end of our girls’ night last night, my pants were very loose…better than tight, I guess!

Thankful for these pretty weirdos I get to call my friends…I miss our morning runs together SO much.

We went to Vantage last night and had the best time. Before we knew it, it was after 9pm…which is pretty much past all of our bedtimes.

I think Rhea likes the jute rug. She’s been sleeping here the past two nights.

Happy Wednesday, friends!

And a very happy Thanksgiving! Thank you for being here and following along with us – I love having you! šŸ™‚
