Weekend Wrap-up: the best gym sisters + cheering on friends + lazy Sunday

I cannot believe that Christmas is this week! SO crazy. Rewinding to Friday, I hit up the gym and then had the most fun baby shower thrown by my gym sisters.

Everything was so cute and it was a blast to spend time together not lifting weights or being crazy sweaty. HA!

These chocolate covered pretzel sticks are out of this world. I got to take some of the leftovers home and Jake and I cannot stop eating them.

I had a major picture taking fail and forgot to get a picture of the whole group, which makes me so sad, but I am so thankful for these women. They are the only reasons I go to the gym right now…Thank you, thank you for spoiling us Friday morning!

I was in complete shock when I opened up our stroller. They all went in together on it and I was speechless. I cannot wait for all the walks (and visits to the gym) we will take in this. <3

They also got us this gorgeous blanket with a pineapple print on one side. I know this is going to be one of baby boy’s favorite blankets.

How cute is this outfit? The girls definitely spoiled us on Friday!

Saturday morning, Becca and I went to cheer on Alix and Kayla during a race. It was so dang cold and windy, but we got hot coffees and took blankets with us which helped. It was so fun to cheer on the runners.

I sure love my runner girl gang!

Kayla crushed her half and set a new PR for herself. Way to go, girlfriend!

I came home from the race to Jake and his parents working on our bathrooms. They got so much accomplished while I was gone. Have I mentioned before how blessed we are to have family close by that are willing to help us?

Jake and I had a little date night Saturday and grabbed dinner at Nearly Famous before coming back home to watch a Christmas movie. Nearly Famous is one of my favorite local restaurants. Their salad is hands-down the best in the entire world.

As soon as we got back home, baby boy and I changed into pajamas. He is definitely growing every single day.

We relaxed and watched Christmas Vacation, which always makes me laugh.

I got this sweatshirt from my friend who owns PGPApparel. I love it so much. If you’re looking for adorable shirts, tanks, sweatshirts, or long sleeves, check her out. She can customize anything for you, too!

Lots of relaxing happened this weekend.

On Sunday, we headed to Brew Co for brunch. We are soaking up all our time together that we can get right now. Jake was super excited because they brought back one of his favorite beers for their 24th anniversary.

They stuff their pancake batter with sausage and bacon…it is so delicious.

Jake’s dad came over and helped Jake in our bathrooms for a little bit. I didn’t feel very well, so Jake made me sit on the couch and relax. It was tough to do this while they worked, but I’m trying to focus on slowing down and relaxing when I need to right now.

This is one of my all time favorite yogurts. It’s pretty high in sugar, but it is delicious.

I usually eat desert types smoothies, chocolate or peanut butter-flavored, but lately I have been craving fruit smoothies. I bought a bunch of stuff at the store to make fruit smoothies so that is what I had for dinner last night. It hit the spot! YUM.

I think Sunday evenings are our favorites because of Yellowstone. We made some popcorn and grabbed some chocolate covered pretzel sticks and we were ready to watch.

Happy Monday, friends!
