What an amazing weekend. I still can’t believe this little guy is ours. Getting to celebrate my first Mother’s Day was so special. I thought a lot about what we went through to get to this point and it still seems surreal to me that Cooper is here. I definitely cried rocking him to sleep Sunday night. He’s my whole world.
I snapped this picture Friday morning. He’s getting so strong!
Friday night, I was in the kitchen making dinner and Jake hollered for me to look in the living room. This is what I saw. Cooper sitting on top of Rhea. Jake was very proud of himself…
We had Big Mac casserole for dinner. This was so easy to make. It has ground beef, potatoes, diced tomatoes, and onion. The ground beef has a sauce made out of mayonnaise, ketchup, coconut aminos, and garlic powder. You top everything with cheese and bake it all and then serve it with lettuce and pickles on top. So good!
Saturday morning, Cooper and I headed to his first baby shower. We were so excited to celebrate baby Jack! I didn’t want to wash my hair, so I threw it up in a ponytail. Mom life.
My favorite guy.
The prettiest mama-to-be!! I cannot wait for future stroller runs with our sweet babes.
Cooper’s face in this picture – hahahaha!
Then it was back home and in comfy clothes to relax!
I was still dealing with some weird knee pain, so I took the rest of the weekend off from running. I tried to stay off of my feet, too, just so things could heal. I feel back to normal this morning! I think the weird pains I was having are just reminders that I need to take things slow.
We finally got a table and chairs for our patio! We are so excited. We had our patio redone over the summer, but hadn’t gotten any outdoor furniture for it, so we haven’t really gotten to enjoy it yet. Jake found this table and chairs and we both loved it.
We couldn’t wait to break it in, so Jake grilled us a delicious dinner and we sat outside all Saturday night.
This boy loves being outside. We sat outside and enjoyed the gorgeous weather until Cooper went to bed.
My first Mother’s Day started with cuddles in bed.
Jake got up super early to knock out a long bike ride. He came home and cooked a delicious breakfast.
So, so tasty.
Thank you for making me a mama, sweet boy!
We headed to my parents’ house for lunch. Eleanor was so excited to swim in their pool. We sat outside around the pool all afternoon and it was so much fun.
Beyond thankful for my wonderful mom!
We had dinner at Jake’s parents’ house. Cooper got some good cuddles in with his grandpa Jeff. It was such a fun day! I love that we get to see our families on special days.
This is my last week of work before summer and I will have a couple weeks off before my summer classes start. I have lots of grading to knock out, but once Friday hits, I will be on summer break!
Happy Monday, friends!
