We had a full weekend! I don’t think we ever stopped doing things, but we got to see lots of our favorite people. Friday morning started with Jake’s great grandma’s funeral. She passed away last week. It was nice to celebrate her life with family. Copper helped me do my hair before we headed to the graveside service.
The best snuggles in the whole world.
After the funeral, we grabbed lunch with Jake’s family, then came home and took a family nap. Rhea joined us and got some good cuddles in with Coop.
Then the best thing ever happened to Jake – his son kinda rode his bike for the first time.
This may be my new favorite picture. I love how Coop is looking at Jake.
Friday evening, we headed to celebrate our friend Casey‘s birthday. Chris, Brittany, and Jett were there, which made our night.
This little guy sure loves his dad.
I got to snuggle Jett. He has the best hair!
I can’t wait to watch these two little besties grow up together. I love that we get to raise babies with some of our favorite people.
Moms who nurse together, stay together!
Saturday morning, we got up early to run before it got hot. Coop wore another onesie from our friend, Bettina. It says, “My mom loves to run and I’m her #1 fan!”
I had another tempo workout. I am trying to get back into the habit of using nutrition for longer runs. My first postpartum race is in about a month, EEK, so I need to get my belly used to gels again.
After my run, I showered super fast and got my house ready for a bridal shower for Kayla!
I cannot believe this girl gets married on Sunday! We loved getting to celebrate her. She is going to be the most beautiful bride.
Sunday morning, we headed to get coffee and breakfast together. These two are my favorite breakfast dates.
This memory popped up on my Timehop and I can’t believe how much our living room has changed. This is what it looked like when we bought our house.
And this is what it looks like now. We will still knock out the big wall in between our kitchen and living room, but that won’t happen for a while. It is fun to look back on all the before pictures.
I knocked out a little bit of meal prep Sunday afternoon. Lunches this week are rice bowls with broccoli and buffalo ground turkey. I think they will be pretty delicious.
Then we got some good snuggles in while Jake rode.
Coop took a little snooze while I got ready for a run. I did NOT want to do this run, but Jake encouraged me and reminded me how good I would feel when I finished it. I think I rolled my eyes at him, but I did it.
It was HOT. Jake and Coop met me at two different spots and gave me ice cold water. It helped so much. We had planned to do dinner at Brew Co, so I just ran from home to dinner. It worked out great and I did feel so good once it was over. Very thankful today is a rest day!
One of my all-time favorite meals – salad and wings. Yum.
Thankful these two always support me…even when I don’t want it. Ha!
Happy Monday, friends!
