When runs don’t go as planned + poor Coop + we’re getting all the snuggles

Coop seemed to be getting a little bit of the sniffles on Wednesday, so we took a warm bath and relaxed.

We got bundled up and headed out for a recovery run.

Someone was OVER it after about 30 minutes, so I carried him back to the house. Sometimes runs don’t go as planned.

Carrying a baby and pushing a jogging stroller is not an easy task. Ha!

Poor Bub woke up with a dang full blown cold Thursday morning. He coughs all the time and his little nose won’t stop running. I’ve been soaking up all the baby snuggles.

God bless whoever made the Nose Frida. This thing is the best for a stuffed up baby. You suck the snot out of your baby’s nose with this blue part. There’s a tube connected to something you put in your mouth. I know it sounds gross, but it works. 11/10 recommend. There’s a filter, so nothing gets in your mouth.

Little man was feeling better in the afternoon. We literally snuggled on the couch all morning. I canceled my day, which I was thankful I was able to do, and just soaked up time with him.

Jake got home from work and took Coop on his run with him so I could run solo (with Rhea). After being lazy all day, running was the last thing I felt like doing, but I knew I’d feel better after getting something in.

We ended with almost 5.5 miles for the day. I felt surprisingly good.

Jake and Coop finished up about the same time I did. I was excited to get back to snuggling my best boy.

Little man is still sick today. He was coughing so hard this morning that he threw up some mucus, but I’m glad he’s getting it out of his system. We sat in the bathroom in hot steam earlier and he seems to be breathing better. He doesn’t have a fever or anything like that, so I think it’s still a cold, but I’m keeping a close eye on him. More snuggles are on the schedule for today. <3

Happy Friday, friends!
