One more fun picture from our side-by-side ride on Thanksgiving.
Friday afternoon, we headed over to my parents’ house to celebrate Thanksgiving. Coop was wild and played like a mad man.
He ended up taking a suuuuuper long nap. I failed to get any family pictures, but we had so much fun making pizzas and hanging out.
Saturday morning started with an endurance run. Jake did a gravel ride, then came home and hung with Coop while I ran.
One of my all-time favorite meals – the ahi tuna nachos from Split Kitchen. I had been craving them for a few weeks, so we met our friends, Kallie and Coty there for a double date. It was so fun and the nachos were incredible.
After dinner, we lounged on the couch in our Jammies and watched a corny Christmas movie. It was wonderful.
Sunday morning started with some beets for breakfast for little man. He’s a big fan!
Coop and I headed out for my last run of the week – a recovery run. Thank goodness for recovery miles. I was sleepy yesterday, so I was thankful I had an easy run.
Someone else was sleepy and fell asleep about five minutes into my run.
Those post-run smiles.
I did a run/walk for this recovery and I loved it.
Almost got a 30 mile week in. It feels good to be building a strong base. My next race is a 25k in January.
I got back from my run to Jake making this deliciousness for brunch. Biscuits, gravy, cheesy eggs, and bacon. Yummmm.
After we ate, we headed out to get a Christmas tree! Jake and I have gotten a real tree for the past six years. It’s one of my favorite traditions.
We found one! I love getting to make all of these memories with Coop.
Then we took an epic couch nap.
Being his mama is my favorite thing.
I knocked out a little meal prep after our nap – I love making a big batch of breakfast burritos and freezing some of them. If I’m going to freeze them, I wrap them in a paper towel and then a layer of aluminum foil. They freeze really well.
Coop says he’s ready to drive. He also loves Solo cups.
Just lounging in bed before we got up for the day.
The best boy in the whole world.
Happy Monday, friends!
