Weekend Wrap-up: Christmas edition!

Everything about this weekend was so special. Getting to celebrate Coop’s first Christmas was the best thing. He had so much fun getting to spend time with family. Friday morning started with some couch cuddles while Jake got some trail miles in since he was off work. This goober cracks me up.

We got bundled up to go play in the snow for a little bit.

He wasn’t quite sure what to think about it. He loves holding the snow in his hand.

Once Jake got home from his run, I headed out for my own. I was going to hop on the treadmill, but I ended up heading outside to get a snow run in. It was pretty dang cold.

But you sure can’t beat these views!

Rhea-girl joined me and had the best time. We ran for about an hour.

After our runs, we headed out to grab lunch. We went to Brew Co and shared my all-time favorite salad.

This is Coop’s favorite cup.

The best smooches in the whole world.

Saturday morning, I hopped on the treadmill to knock out my workout run before we headed to my parents’ house to celebrate Christmas. This run hurt and I was so happy when it was over.

My favorite breakfast item of all time is monkey bread. My mom always makes it for us on Christmas morning.

We had so much fun celebrating with my family. It was so cute watching Cooper and Eleanor open presents.

Cooper and Eleanor made this platter for my mom. It says Santa’s Cookies on it and has Cooper’s footprints and Eleanor’s handprints. It turned out so cute.

My heart is so full after this weekend.

My best dudes getting a little snooze in.

Before we all headed home for the day, we headed out to explore a cave that is near my parents’ house.

The boys climbed into the cave, but I was not quite brave enough to do that, so I sat outside and kept watch.

We woke up at our house Christmas morning and did Christmas as a family of three. Cooper gazed at our Christmas tree in awe.

He was so excited about these stackable rings he got. It was so special watching him open his presents.

He also got some fun PAW Patrol stuff.

His last present was a fun driving toy. He’s obsessed.

Happy birthday, Jesus! Thank you for all you’ve given us. <3

Poor kid. Get used to it, buddy boy!

After we did our Christmas, we headed to Jake’s grandma’s house to celebrate with his family. I failed to take any pictures, but we had the best time. After that, we headed to Jake’s aunt’s house for lunch. It was delicious and Coop matched Linda and Frank in their red plaid.

After lunch, we headed to Jake’s parents’ house for our last Christmas of the day. We are all so blessed. And we’re thankful we are close to our families and able to see everyone over the holidays without any crazy traveling.

Coop is one lucky kiddo!

Sure do love these people!

What a wonderful Christmas. I am definitely a little sad that it’s over. Jake is off work today, so we are going to spend the day together and just enjoy some downtime.

Happy Monday, friends!
