The weekend flew by. Rewinding to Friday, little man took a snooze before we headed over to my parents’ house. My mom is home and recovering from her knee replacement. We took them lunch and hung out a little bit.

My little book lover read while we drove around town.

Still obsessed with the playpen. I ordered some foam tiles for the bottom and they worked out perfectly. They also kind of match our rug, so that’s cool. I’m not sure where this playpen will stay, but for now, it is taking over our living room.

Jake and I both felt perfectly normal Friday night. We had a fun date night in and made a Mexican feast. Little man helped us cook.

We made homemade tortillas and they turned out so delicious.

We made a bunch and froze them.

We had tacos, guacamole, and skinny margs. It was the best date night in.

Jake and I both woke up feeling awful Saturday morning. It hit us out of nowhere. We think it’s just a super bad cold, but it sure has knocked us down. Coop worked on his selfie taking skills.

I started to feel a tiny bit better Saturday afternoon, so we headed out for my recovery run. It had been quite a while since I had gone on a stroller run, so I was looking forward to it. I love Cooper’s double chin so much.

An hour of easy running and podcast listening.

Lunch after my run was one of our homemade tortillas topped with cheese, steak bites, and cherry tomatoes. It was delicious.

We had some family playtime in the big playpen. We love this thing so much.

Saturday night, we all hung out in Coop’s room while he played before bed. Big girl needed some cuddles, too.

I was down for the count all of Sunday. Little man and I took an afternoon nap together and it was so nice.

I did get signed up for my next trail race, which I’m excited about! This will be my first trail marathon. It’s not till April, so I have lots of time to train and get my trail confidence back.

Our day consisted of a lot of relaxing and lounging. We ordered pizza for dinner and watched the Chiefs game.

I still feel pretty crummy, but I’m hoping we’re on the mend!
Happy Monday, friends!
