Weekend Wrap-up: I failed…+ all healed + the best snugs

I am finally feeling better! Thank goodness. That was eight days of misery. My five hour Zoom retreat on Friday went by fairly quickly considering it was that long. My sister hung out with Coop for me and he loved getting to play with her. I can’t believe my newest niece is going to be here in the next few weeks. When I finished up with Zoom, Coop, and I crawled into bed for a nap. He is getting so big. My mama heart cannot handle how quickly he is growing up. I am soaking up every moment.

I am a bad wife. I failed to get a single picture of Jake this weekend. Sorry, honey! I will do better. I know y’all miss seeing his cute face. Dinner on Friday was another new recipe and it was delicious – crescent. Roll taco pizza. HERE’S the recipe. We all loved it, even Coop.

Jake and I doused our pieces with hot sauce and chowed down.

Saturday morning started with a delicious breakfast of waffles, cheesy eggs, and bacon.

Jake, my mystery husband, headed out for a three hour bike ride, so Coop and I played, snuggled, and tried to take a nap. This is what trying to snuggle with an almost one year old looks like.

That boy mom life…Sometimes ya just gotta rock a backwards hat to stay cool with the youngsters.

This kid is definitely WAY cooler than me.

Gosh, I love him.

Saturday night, we headed over to my parents’ house to spend some time with them. My mom is still recovering from her knee replacement surgery, but she is recovering like a superstar. Her surgeon told her he couldn’t believe she was only nine days postop at her latest appointment. Way to go, mama! Then we all headed to Brew Co. for dinner. Coop got some Papa snuggles.

Sunday morning was lazy, which we all loved. The cutest little Lover Boy. Even though he’s wild, he’s definitely a lover. Coop is either going a hundred miles a minute or snuggling. There’s no in-between.

Jake had a three hour run, so when he left to go knock it out, I started on a little meal prep. I call this, Lazy Lo Mein – Ramen, veggies, and chicken.

We read The Pout Pout Fish 27 times yesterday. I counted. It’s Coop’s favorite book.

This is what nursing an almost one year old looks like…

My boys took me on a pizza date last night. My mom got me this cropped sweater last year for Christmas (when I was pregnant), so I’m just now able to wear it, ha! She also just got me these adorable shoes. Thanks, mama!

I get to run today after eight whole days off from being sick. I can’t wait! I have some big workouts this week, so I’m excited to see how it feels after so much downtime.

Happy Monday, friends!
