Knocking things out + Cooper Ray is ONE! + weekend plans!

This goofball always wakes up so happy. I love watching him. He almost always waves at our fan as soon as he opens his eyes. It’s hilarious.

I had a million things to do Wednesday afternoon, but someone only wanted to sleep in my arms, so I let go of my to-do list and did the only thing that mattered.

We made three dozen peanut butter cupcakes for Coop’s birthday party this weekend. Peanut butter is his favorite food, so I figured he’d love peanut butter cupcakes. Wish me luck as I try to frost these…

I couldn’t let Jake be the only one working on our remodel… I am painting the last door in our hallway. All the other doors have been painted for over a year, but we were still doing a bunch of work on the hallway bathroom, so we had not painted that door yet.

After Coop woke up from his afternoon nap, we headed outside to enjoy the sunshine and warm weather. We swung while we waited for Jake to get home from work.

Before dinner, Coop and I primed the other side of the door. Thankful for paint that dries quickly!

After dinner, I got ready to celebrate our birthday boy Thursday morning!

Jake also finished up this area in our dining room! It is the coolest wine rack.

He got both of the racks hung up, but Cooper and I went to bed before the second one was finished.

My last time nursing my 11 month old to sleep.

The birthday boy decided to sleep in on his birthday. He didn’t get up until almost 8 o’clock! Also, my sister had her baby Thursday morning, so she and Coop share a birthday! I can’t share pictures because they don’t like their kiddos faces online, but she is gorgeous.

He was unamused by me trying to get him to wear a party hat.

How are you so big, sweet boy?!

Jake got called into work at 2 AM, so he got to come home Thursday morning and was able to spend the day with us. I was so excited to have him home with us, but I cannot imagine going into work at 2 AM… He is way tougher than I am. Once Jake got home, Cooper opened up his presents. We got his this new arm chair and he LOVES it!

He also got a toy camper/RV set. He loved that as well! It was so fun watching him open up his presents.

After we opened presents, Jake and Coop laid down to take a nap, and I hopped on the treadmill to knock out my workout run. After my run, we met my family at Galloway for lunch.

Ann, one of the owners of Galloway, brought Coop the most delicious birthday cake. We love Galloway! Thank you, Ann!

After lunch, we ran some errands. I dropped off some of my frozen breastmilk to my sister’s house so they’d have it when they get home from the hospital.

Coop helped me get two coats of paint on the bathroom door. He loves watching me paint. And so far, hasn’t tried to grab anything that has been freshly painted…fingers crossed.

We still need to put the trim around the floor back on, but here it is! Jake did an amazing job. I love it so much! Now to go wine shopping…

We had pizza for dinner last night, which is one of Coop’s favorite meals.

Our last monthly photo! Cue the tears.

My baby is one year old! <3

A little bit more playtime before bed. This boy loves his birthday presents!

We have Coop’s birthday party tomorrow afternoon, and I cannot wait! We aren’t doing anything crazy, just lunch with family at our house, but it will be so much fun. I can’t wait to celebrate our boy again!

Happy Friday, friends!
