This weekend was one of my absolute favorites! I can’t believe Coop is one, but man, we sure had the best time celebrating him with our families! I wish I could relive this weekend all over again! Well, other than Friday morning when Coop had his one year wellness check and had to get three shots and a finger prick. He didn’t cry until the very last shot, but uuugh, I just hate them. I’m glad he doesn’t need any for awhile now!

I was emotional all day thinking about having a one year old. My sister was about to be discharged from the hospital with Ford and she sent us a picture. Ford was wearing the exact same outfit that Cooper had on one year ago that same day. It was so special.

I ran a bunch of last-minute errands for Cooper’s party on Saturday. How adorable are these cookies? The theme of Cooper’s party was One Happy Dude, which I think describes our boy perfectly.

I got these shirts for all of us to wear.

Friday afternoon, Coop spent some time riding his bike. why does he look 13 in this picture?

Dinner Friday night was leftovers on the homemade tortillas that we made a while ago and had frozen. It was delicious.

Cooper was a big fan of his birthday balloons. He would wave at them and/or want to touch them 24/7.

I got up and started getting some food ready for Coop’s party Saturday morning and he snoozed while I did that. I love that he is in the same position in both of these pictures. The newborn picture is the day that we brought him home from the hospital.

Once little man got up, I hopped on the treadmill to get a little bit of a run in. I had the weirdest thing happen…our power went out for may be a second. The belt on the treadmill stopped and almost threw me off. Then our power came right back on, and the belt started going super fast. It was scary!

After my run, I finished getting everything ready for Cooper’s party.

My best boys! How do we have a one year old?!

Cooper had the absolute best day. It was so fun to watch him. I think he smiled the entire time.

Aunt Chelsea gets the award for the cutest outfit.

My birth mom got Coop this ball pit and he LOOOVES it.

Big cousin Eleanor loved it too.

I loved getting to celebrate this sweet dude.

It was so funny watching him eat his cupcake. I made peanut butter cupcakes with peanut butter frosting. Peanut butter is Coop’s favorite food. He inhaled the frosting and cupcake.

When you rub peanut butter frosting in your eyes…ha!

Coop kept staring at these cupcake toppers with his face on them. It cracked me up.

Ganny and Grandpa Jeff (Jake’s parents) got Coop a red Jeep to match theirs. He is obsessed with it and loves when Jake makes it go fast.

He and Eleanor had a blast riding around in it.

We have the best people in our lives! Thank you to our families for making Coop’s birthday party so special!

We relaxed after the party, then a very tired mom and dad went out for a much needed date night. Don’t look closely at the bags under our eyes…ha!

We left Coop for the longest we have ever left him, a little over five hours. Tell me you are a breastfeeding mom without telling me you’re a breastfeeding mom…

We grabbed dinner at Dublin’s. We shared Scottish eggs and a burger. This dinner was incredible.

After dinner, we headed downtown to go to the Parker McCollum concert. It was amazing. We had the absolute best night.

I had quite the headache when I woke up Sunday morning, but it was worth it. Cooper has started nursing in the funniest positions.

I had a long run that I needed to knock out, but I was a little bit hungover, so I waited until the afternoon to head out. I wasn’t sure how this run was going to go, but the weather was incredible, so I was excited to spend some time outside.

Coop did a little bit of light reading while I ran.

I ended up feeling wonderful, which I was so thankful for. I think the run helped make me feel better.

I got in my whole 90 minute run and ended up getting in a little over 8 miles while pushing the stroller.

Jake had a four hour run and we both finished up about the same time. We did a little family walk while Coop rode in his Jeep after our runs.

Jake’s parents got us passes to Wonders of Wildlife for Christmas and we finally were all able to go together yesterday. We had so much fun and Cooper loved it! Yesterday was also Jake’s mom‘s birthday, so we had the best time celebrating her.

Happy birthday to the best Ganny and mother-in-law in the world!

Coop has the best daddy.

I hit the jackpot with my in-laws. We love y’all so much!

Jake is off today, so he is home with us which we love. I am not off, which sucks, but that’s okay. I am a little bit behind on stuff after our busy weekend, so I need to get cracking on my to do list.
Happy Monday, friends!
