Weekend Wrap-up: longest postpartum run! + sunshineeeee + hibachi night

This past weekend went by WAY too quickly. And my spring break went away with it! This week is absolutely bonkers…it always seems to be that way after some time off, doesn’t it? Rewinding to Friday, we read a few books before heading to brunch.

It was rainy and cold here on Friday, so we rocked hats and rain jackets.

We went to Aviary and had the best time.

We had family pictures on Friday afternoon. Is it even family photos if you don’t fall face first into something? Ha! Poor kid…it’s kind of hard to see, but he hit his forehead on our front door.

Saturday morning started with some early morning miles with Rhea. I had a three to four hour run on the schedule for the day.

Rhea and I ran about 30 minutes, then met Alix, who ran an hour with me. It was SO fun to run with girlfriends.

Then I met up with Kayla, who ran the next 50 minutes with me.

Then it was back home to get Rhea and finish up!

I ended with 18 miles for the day, which is my longest postpartum run! I felt really good, which I was thankful for. There’s no better feeling than some driveway sitting after a long run.

Coop was napping when I got home, so I took a super fast shower and got back into comfy clothes. Then Jake and I traded duty and he headed out for a long ride.

I was SO worn out after my run. I had to keep moving or I was going to pass out. Since it was so gorgeous outside, we headed out for a little Jeep time.

Coop discovered leaves. He kept trying to eat them.

The most beautiful boy in the whole world.

When Coop took his afternoon nap, I decided to join him. We had an amazing couch nap.

We grabbed dinner at Galloway Saturday night, which was delicious as always. They had the best music playing, so Coop was in Heaven. I think he danced the entire time we were there.

Sunday morning started with a family run that ended at Kingdom Coffee for coffee and breakfast. Coop inhaled a blueberry muffin. He has a mouth full of muffin in both of these pictures. HA!

I ended with almost 42 miles for the week! That’s a big week for me. I have a knee that is pretty sore right now, but hopefully with some mobility, foam rolling, and a rest day today, it feels better tomorrow.

We finally got Coop’s blackout curtains hung up. I love how they turned out. Now I want curtains in the rest of our rooms…

This kid is obsessed with hats right now. He will pat his head until we put one on him. I love it.

He wanted to help me straighten my hair. He did a great job brushing my hair and only almost knocked out some of my teeth a few times…

The coolest dude.

Coop wasn’t interested in a family photo. He’s already too cool for us.

We had hibachi night at Jake’s parents’ house last night. It was delicious!!

SO good. I was ridiculously full when we left.

Now to tackle this crazy week!

Happy Monday, friends!
