Always seems to the the case + blah + he makes everything better!

Y’all, this week. WOOF. I have a massive promotion portfolio due Friday, which is taking up most of my days, but now I’m also sick. I started feeling crummy Monday evening/Tuesday morning. Doesn’t it always seem to go that way?? Sheesh. Beyond thankful I can work from home, but my brain is definitely mush and I’m not sure about the quality of the work I’ll be turning in…I think it’s just a bad cold, but it’s rocking my world!

Coop took a stroller nap with his nanny Monday afternoon. Since he was snoozing so well, I took a snack outside and sat while he napped when she needed to leave for the day.

We had swim Monday night. Seconds after taking this picture, I felt something wet and warm on my side. First time he’s peed on me with his swim diaper on! Ha!

We had nachos for dinner after swim. Coop ate his body weight in cherry tomatoes. Aaaand wore one as a very fashionable hat.

These were delicious. Chips, cheese, ground beef, salsa, guac, plain Greek yogurt, jalapeños, cherry tomatoes, and some Tajín on top. YUM.

The second he gets up in the mornings, he wants a hat on. It cracks me up!

Yesterday was our first day of nap training. Coop is sleeping SO solid at night – 10-12 hours every night (I know…it’s amazing), so we figured it was time to start on naps. When I put him in his crib yesterday for his first nap, I hopped on the treadmill. Running didn’t feel great and I had a cough that was bothering me, so I called it quits after a mile. I texted my coach and she said to rest and hydrate, so that’s what I’ve been doing! I have a trail marathon April 16th, so I need to be healthy and ready for that! No use pushing through right now when I don’t need to.

After Coop’s first nap, I was going to have him play in the bath for awhile since it’s one of his favorite things. I had JUST gotten the tub filled up when we had an incident…poop. Everywhere. Soooo, I grabbed him, wrapped him in a towel, and just stood in the bathroom trying to figure out what to do. Ha! Ya know when something weird happens and it takes you a second to fully comprehend and make a plan of what to do next? That was me. Here’s a picture before our very abrupt exit of the tub…

When I was finally able to think clearly again, we went to the kitchen. A quick sink bath to get all cleaned up!

This goofball is all over the place all the time! He definitely loves to explore.

Even though it was chilly yesterday, we headed out for a little outside time. Coop needed some Jeep time!

He rocked two crib naps yesterday, but I held him for one last little cat nap so he would get a little bit more daytime sleep. He only napped for 30 minutes in his crib both times, but he slept on me for another hour, so we’re calling that a success for our first day of nap training!

It took Coop a little bit to fully wake up from his last nap. I soaked up the extra snuggles.

Dinner last night was salmon, sweet potato bites, and rice. It was easy and delicious!

We’re taking it slow this morning. I still don’t feel great, but it just feels like a cold, so I’m resting, hydrating, and taking all the supplements. Hoping to feel better tomorrow! Fingers crossed.

Happy Wednesday, friends!
