Weekend Wrap-up: fun stuff + long run + Easter 2023

This weekend flew by, but we had the best time! Friday night started with dinner at home. I made crescent roll taco pizza, which is one of our favorites. It’s so good and so easy to make.

We also had salad on the side.

Mom and dad had a movie date night once little man went to bed. We watched Wine Country and it was hilarious.

Saturday morning started with a tempo run for me. Jake and Cooper met me for breakfast after my run, and since we don’t have the extra seats in the van yet, Jake needed my car for the car seat, so I drove the van for the first time. It drives really well!

Thankful for girlfriends who will join me for my workout runs! These two did about half of my run with me, and then I finished up on my own.

I got a little over 7 miles in for the day. This workout run felt a million times better than the one on Thursday.

I grabbed breakfast and coffee while I waited for Jake and Coop to meet me. Once they got there, we went on a walk around the neighborhood. It was the best morning!

After our walk, we headed to the car wash. Cooper loves watching all the cars go through.

Then it was back home to nap and play! I can’t handle how cute his little tush is.

Saturday night, we headed to Tie and Timber for some beer and dinner. Cooper had fun trying to eat rocks… I think he has one in his mouth in this picture.

We grabbed Skully’s for dinner and it was amazing.

My sweet boy. <3

Sunday morning started with a long run. I had two hours on the schedule for the day, so I headed out early to get it done before church. Rhea joined me and I think she smiled the entire time.

This run was a little slower than I wanted it to be, but I ended with 11.5 miles for the day and felt pretty good, so I was happy with it!

After my run, it was a mad dash to get ready and meet my dad at church. After church, we headed over to my parents’ house for lunch.

The best baby daddy.

My parents got a new heater for their pool, so it is officially pool season at their house. Coop and Eleanor swam a little bit yesterday.

Our adult Easter egg hunt was a success! Everyone got to search for different drinks and we had a blast. I think this needs to be a new tradition!

I sure love weekends with my boys!

Coop loves playing with these blocks at Jake’s parents’ house. Jake built them up super tall and Coop had the best time tearing everything apart. It was hilarious.

I hope everyone had the best Easter weekend!

Happy Monday, friends!
