Gal pal run + organization + bummer experience eating out

All smiles, ready for a recovery run Wednesday morning! Coop snoozed for most of it.

After my run, we did a little swinging before lunch.

I am having a hard time rocking Coop right now because my boobs hurt from weaning, so he’s taking lots of stroller naps. Our naps don’t happen in the crib, but he’s back to sleeping from 7pm to 6am, so I don’t care at all. Nighttime crib sleep is so much more important to me!

After his nap, we played outside while we waited for Jake to get home from work.

Finally got Coop’s closet organized. Here’s the before. I had just been shoving the clothes he had grown out of into random bins. It was getting out of control.

It’s so nice having his clothes more organized! Now I need to tackle toys…

When you have a fussy toddler, but it’s not quite dinner time, so you’re trying everything to entertain him…random toys in water. He played with this for 20 minutes! Calling that a big win! Jake golfs on Wednesday nights, so it’s just me and Coop. I had a delicious glass of wine once Coop was busy playing.

Wednesday night play time before bed. Coop does not love getting his diaper changed, so by the end of the day, I end up not snapping whatever he’s wearing just to finish the diaper change faster. Pick your battles, ya know?

We finally had a gal pal run!! Our friend, Alix, was with us, too, but she had to leave before the picture. It was so fun to run with these girls!

Coop’s new favorite thing is to fling himself back on the floor and just giggle. It cracks me up, which I’m sure just adds to him wanting to do it more. This kid is hilarious.

His little point just melts me.

I grabbed dinner with my family last night. Jake didn’t get to join us because he was mountain biking with some friends. Before we ate, we met up at Hold Fast Brewing for a beer. Coop and Eleanor had the best time entertaining all of us on the stage outside.

Coop was also a big fan of the flowers.

We went to Greek Belly for dinner last night. I had heard good things about it from other people, but I doubt we go back. First, my food wasn’t great. It was pretty dry and disappointing. My parents also didn’t love what they had gotten AND the to-go order I got for Jake was wrong. Super frustrating. I usually give places a second chance after that kind of stuff, but by the time I left, I was bummed out about the entire experience. Second, they don’t have a baby changing table in the bathroom. I had to sit on a gross, greasy floor to change Coop’s diaper. That really pisses me off and will keep me from going back to a place, especially if there’s room for a table in their bathroom. I’ve been to places before that just don’t have the room and I very much understand that, but Greek Belly had over half of a super long wall with nothing on it. I was very annoyed. I did have a good drink, so there’s that. The Siren was delicious. Buuuuut, that’s it. I give it 2/10 stars.

Tutu and Cooper snuggles.

Happy Friday, friends!
