This kid…+ whirlwind of a day!! + outta here!

This cool kid and I knocked out a recovery run Wednesday morning.

He passed out about 10 minutes in with his hand in his snack cup. There were Goldfish everywhere.

After my run, our nanny came over and I worked for a few hours. Then I changed into sweats and we got good some cuddles in. We love this massive playpen so much.

Wednesday night was leftover tacos. Two of my favorite things…Leftovers and tacos.

Then we did a little after dinner Jeepin’ since Jake was at the golf course.

Thursday morning, I had my first appointment and blood work for our mock transfer. I saw my girlfriend, Kallie, leaving the clinic as I was getting there. She is also in the middle of IVF treatments. Sending her and her hubby, Coty, all the positive vibes!

I had a trans vaginal ultrasound, a saline ultrasound, and blood drawn. Everything ended up being okay, but it was a whirlwind of a day. I have a 15cm mass that is sitting kind of behind my uterus. I have yet to talk to our doctor at our clinic about it, but I think it is scar tissue, which is an issue we already knew about with Cooper’s transfer. Long story short – the clinic where I am having my monitoring done is different than our IVF clinic. Our IVF clinic is in STL, so to save me some trips, I’m able to do monitoring here in Springfield and just go to STL for our big stuff. The clinic here was pretty concerned about the mass. And rightfully so. But, our IVF clinic says it’s not an issue, so we are continuing on. I still have a lot of questions about it, so I will be talking to our doctor, but as of now, I start meds on Sunday for our mock!

After my appointment, I crawled into the car and cried. Seeing that mass on the screen was scary, and the saline ultrasound was extremely painful. I had told Jake not to worry about going with me since it wasn’t a major appointment, but I sure wished he had been there. As soon as I got back to Coop, everything was better.

Coop loves to pretend to drive. So that’s what we did while we waited for Jake to get home from work.

Jake’s nanny came over for dinner last night. I made pizzas and salad. The pizzas were on naan bread and turned out super delicious. 10/10 recommend.

We are finishing getting packed and then will hop in the car and head to Arkansas! I am still bummed I am not doing the 50k, but I honestly don’t know that I would even be able to finish it. I am still pretty uncomfortable and crampy from everything yesterday, and am retaining crazy amounts of fluid. I know switching to the 25k was the right decision. Now to just focus on enjoying trail miles…and a beer at the finish line! Ha!

Happy Friday, friends!
