I have been majorly slacking on meal prep lately. I finally managed to make lunches for the week Monday afternoon – chicken, rice, and veggie bowls. YUM.

Post swim snuggles Monday night.

We have the best neighbors. We had a little get together with a few people on our street Monday night. Look at this spread! We definitely feel blessed to live next to such wonderful, kind people.

Everything was so delicious.

They also had lots of great toys out for Coop, so he was in Heaven. He loved this wooden workbench. Our neighbor’s father built it, which is so sweet. It was awesome.

Tuesday morning, we met my birth mom, Dawn, for breakfast. I failed to get a picture of all three of us, but we loved getting to spend the morning with her.

After breakfast, this cool dude and I headed home to meet his nanny so I could knock out some work. Have I mentioned recently how thankful I am to work from home??? It makes my heart so happy to not have to leave him while I work.

This APA manual and I have a love/hate relationship. I am trying to stay ahead this year on publications, so I’m trying my best to get a manuscript out this week. I THINK I’ll be able to submit it to a journal by Thursday afternoon…fingers crossed.

When I finished with work for the day, we headed to my parents’ house to swim for a little bit.

It was right during nap time, so not the best idea, but little man finally gave up and took a snooze on the drive home. He was having too much fun swimming to take a break to nap.

Dinner last night was a massive salad topped with spicy garlic chicken. The meds I’m on right now kind of take away my appetite, but I had a few bites of this and it was pretty good.

Jake did some yard work last night, so Coop and I joined as spectators. I had a skinny marg and Coop enjoyed some time in his Jeep.

This kid is obsessed with Lu’s little fuzzy bed. He’s been carrying it around the house with him the last few days. I’m sure Lu loves that he has discovered her comfy bed.

Happy Wednesday, friends!
