Weekend Wrap-up: date night + golf fun + Sunday Funday

Jake and I had a quick little date Friday night. Here’s a blurry picture in terrible lighting as proof.

We went to Cellar and Plate, which we hadn’t been to in WAY too long. I got a wine flight and each one was delicious.

Jake and I shared the brussels and steak. Both were incredible!

Jake got called into work Friday night and didn’t get home until Saturday at 1pm. Coop and I played with cars all morning. I’m not sure who had more fun…Me or him.

Breakfast was an English muffin and cheesy eggs.

Lunch was a bowl of random leftovers – rice, chicken, beets, and brussels. It ended up being SO delicious.

When Jake got home, he didn’t want to take a long nap, so he slept for about 30 minutes. Other than that 30 minute nap, by the time we went to bed Saturday night, poor Jake had been awake for 41 hours. I don’t know how he does that. After his nap, we headed to the golf course as a family.

Cooper was in HEAVEN. He was so concentrated on the ball and loved every second. We had so much fun!

Sunday morning, this wild boy and I played outside and enjoyed the cooler weather.

Then it was lunch time. Coop has been chowing down on two to three Halo oranges every day. He’s obsessed. We haven’t found a food he won’t eat yet.

I knocked out a little bit of meal prep in-between all our playing. Lunches this week are GF pasta salad with chicken. Here are Jake’s, and Coop and I will share the huge bowl of the rest.

This is some of my all-time favorite pasta. It’s made out of chickpeas and so delicious.

Lunch on Sunday was another bowl of leftovers – chicken, rice, beets, brussels, DF cheese, and lots of hot sauce.

After lunch and afternoon naps on Sunday, we headed to the pool for a little bit. I still can’t get in the water since my incisions aren’t completely healed, but I had a blast watching Jake and Coop run around.

I love spending Sunday afternoons at the pool. Jake’s parents met us there, and then we all headed to their house for dinner. The best Sunday Funday!

I have my post-op appointment on Friday, which will be two weeks post surgery. I am itching to run again, so I hope I get cleared to start working out at the appointment. My whole body is still a little bloated, but I’m slowly starting to feel more normal.

Happy Monday, friends!
