The best smiles + breastmilk jewelry + family day!

This kid is the biggest ham. He has started doing this hilarious smile and giggling like crazy. It cracks me up. He does this a lot when we tell him no…not great for parenting because I have the hardest time not laughing at him.

Jake got me this beautiful ring for Mother’s Day to commemorate my breastfeeding journey with Coop. My ring finally came in and I love it so much! It’s hard to see in the picture, but there are small fold flakes along one edge of the ring. It turned out so great!

We’ve been drawing with chalk every morning before it gets too hot. This kid always ends up covered in chalk dust.

This is my first week back to really running. Each day feels better than the last! Coop has been snoozing while I run.

I am still taking it nice and easy with my runs. I ran two miles and then walked another mile Tuesday morning. It feels so good to be moving again.

Friendly PSA, the Mission spinach gluten-free tortilla wraps are not great. They disintegrate…maybe they’d be better not prepped and just made day of? I’ll have to try that next time.

Poor Jake worked 25 hours straight Monday-Tuesday. He got home Tuesday about 8am and slept for a few hours, then we took Coop to the aquarium. Our nanny is out of town all week, so it’s been interesting trying to work in small pockets of time when I can find them. It was nice to spend the day with my boys. Coop had a blast!

We spent three hours at Wonders of Wildlife and went through both sides of the museum. Coop was unsure of the penguins…

Dinner Tuesday night was leftover orange chicken. I kind of followed THIS recipe. We all looooved this meal so much. I added jasmine rice and broccoli, too. I coated our chicken pieces with cornstarch and GF flour, fried them a bit, then cooked everything in the crockpot. It turned out SO good!

My mom gave me this book and I cannot put it down. I’ve been staying up WAAAY too late reading every night. It’s. So. Good.

I have my baseline appointment, lab work and an ultrasound, next Wednesday. I think our appointment for our doctor to take a sample of my uterine lining will happen mid to late August. If you’ve been following along for awhile, you know IVF never really follows a set schedule, but that’s the tentative plan as of now. We’ll see how things go!

Happy Wednesday, friends!
