Catching up! + 12 days of sickness + a quick CO trip!

Wow. The last few days have been ROUGH. All three of us were sick, but mine lasted a whole freaking 12 days. I’m still not 100%, but I’m at least able to function now. This is how the last 12 days looked…all the sleeping.

We tried to get outside a little bit, but I was just so dang miserable. We didn’t end up doing very much.

I heard, “mama mama mama!” and walked in to this scene. Coop had gotten himself stuck under his stroller. I couldn’t stop laughing.

Friday morning, we loaded up and headed West! Jake’s sister’s boyfriend was planning to propose while they were in Colorado, so we headed out to surprise them. I was still feeling pretty crummy, so I slept a lot and Coop watched a lot of Bluey.

Thank goodness for Jake’s mama – she helped me SO much on our drive out there. We hit the jackpot with having the best grandparents in the world.

We got to our hotel about 8pm Friday night. Then we got up early to head to the hot air balloon show, which is where Phoenix was proposing. It was the most special day!!! I’m so glad we got to be a part of it!

We sure love you, Chels!! <3

This kid and his faces crack me up.

Coop had a blast looking at all the balloons. I think he smiled and pointed the entire time.

Champagne all around!!

Sunday morning, we headed to the softball fields to watch Phoenix in a softball tournament. It was so fun to watch him and his team play.

Plus, you just can’t beat these views.

Grandpa snuggles are the best snuggles.

We got home Monday night. We never like leaving the mountains, but we were glad to be home. I finally felt like running after not doing anything for 12 days. I did an easy 20 minute run and 10 minute walk. It felt so good to move!

I told Coop we were going to go for a run this morning. He immediately sprinted to his room and came back with all his friends. I couldn’t stop laughing. We had quite the crowd on our run this morning.

My run ended with a little toddler carry up and down the street to hit an hour. I still have a lot of sinus stuff going on, but I’m so thankful to be feeling better!

Happy Wednesday, friends!
