Weekend Wrap-up: family day dates + here we go – transfer #2 + football Sunday

This weekend flew by just like last weekend! We spent most of Friday afternoon at a play date. This stair slide was a huge hit.

Friday nights call for homemade pizza and salad. And beer. Always beer.

Coop had a make-up swim lesson Saturday morning. Jake got to go with us and Coop was ecstatic to have his Dad there. He kept looking over at Jake and smiling. It was precious. He did so great in the morning lesson that we’re considering moving him to a morning time permanently…

They also started working on how to get to the edge of the pool. It’s amazing to watch his progress.

After swim, we headed to 14 Mill Market for breakfast. His face in this picture cracks me up.

Toddler ‘tude coming in hot.

Then he found a cicada and was very proud, so proceeded to show it to everyone eating outside.

This breakfast was amazing. Jake had a burrito, I had Eggs Benedict, and Coop had a waffle. YUM.

I had a rough run on Saturday. I’ve just been feeling kind of blah and get frustrated that I’m not where I’d like to be with my fitness. At all. But between taking a year off for IVF and pregnancy, then C-section recovery and postpartum in general, then that dang mass, then surgery to remove it, it’s just been a lot and feels overwhelming at times. I broke down and cried to Jake about it on our run Saturday. We had a good talk and after a little walking, we finished up our run together. I’m trying so hard to just be thankful I’m able to run, but that’s definitely easier said than done some days. Thankful for these handsome boys and their love!

This kid is climbing on EVERYTHING. Everything. All the things. Help.

Here we goooooo! Transfer #2 has officially started. I started meds Sunday morning and will have my next monitoring appointment next week. As of right now, we are looking to transfer October 10th or 11th.

We needed a change of scenery for a run Sunday morning, so we headed to Cherry Pickers and ran around there. Coop passed out about five minutes into my run.

We love football Sundays! We spent the afternoon with my family while Jake caught up on sleep after working all night with the crazy storms we had. Then we headed to meet Jake’s family for dinner. Jake got called into work again before dinner, but he got off in time to meet us.

We taught Coop how to celebrate a touchdown yesterday and he had a blast doing this every time someone scored. And sometimes just for fun…

Happy Monday, friends!
