I can’t believe last weekend was the LAST weekend before our transfer. I know we had some hiccups in this process, which I think is pretty much par for the course with IVF, but man, the time really has flown by. It probably helps that we have a toddler. We never sit still! Ha! Jake was in Arkansas all weekend, doing one of his favorite things – pacing and crewing. While Jake was gone, Coop and I had a weekend full of friends, naps, and fun. Here he is, just sitting on the pot, fully clothed, wearing his sunnies.

Friday afternoon, we had a play date at Mother’s. It was so fun to spend the afternoon with friends. It got SO cold and windy while we were there. I don’t any of us were expecting that.

Saturday morning started with cuddles and cartoons, then this handsome dude and I ran a few errands.

I have the sweetest friends! My friend, Megan, dropped off champagne and the sweetest note over the weekend. Thank you, Meg! <3

Just progesterone shots and a little New Girl!

Sorry for the graphic image, but I think I hit a blood vessel or a vein when I did my injection Saturday. The second I pulled the needle out, blood went EVERYWHERE. Woof.

The best snuggles in the whole world.

Saturday was such a fun night! Chelsea and I had a sushi date and it was AMAZING. She’s also the cutest human.

I wanted all the raw fish before this transfer.

Our three hours together went by way too fast!!

I think someone sensed when I got home, because he woke up the second I walked in the door. We had a quick snack, some snuggles, and he went right back to bed.

Ugh. Sunday morning was rough. I had a 10k I was really excited about, which was my last run for awhile since our clinic doesn’t want me running until our first ultrasound at six weeks. Soooo, I was looking forward to some time in the woods to just do what I love. TWO MINUTES into the race…TWO MINUTES, I sprained my ankle pretty badly. It hurt. I immediately got off the trail and just hobbled to my car. I instantly started crying and sat in my car and cried for about 20 minutes. It just felt like a lot at that moment. I know it’s not the end of the world, not even close, but it just felt really, really hard at the time. I think I needed a good cry because I felt better after. Aaaaand may have cried a few more times on Sunday. These hormones, friends. They suck!

I ended up calling my mom and talking to her for a long time. Since Jake’s sweet aunt was watching Cooper for me, and encouraged me to go grab breakfast with my parents and enjoy some time with them…that’s what I did. By the time I got out of the car to meet my parents, my ankle was really swollen and I was having trouble walking. Ugh. After breakfast, I went home to ice and elevate.

That afternoon, little man and I took a nap together, which was just what I needed. He makes everything better.

My ankle was pretty swollen last night, but it is a million times better today! I can even walk pretty well without pain. I am hoping I just need a few more days of rest before I can get back to walking, riding my bike, and lifting.

This time tomorrow, our baby will be in my belly! So. Crazy.
Happy Monday, friends!
