Beta results! + waiting is so hard + weekend fun

Okay, the news I know y’all are here for – we are pregnant! My first beta was 22, which is my favorite number. This first number is important, but the most important thing is that the number doubles 48 hours later. So by Thursday, we needed to see at least a 44. Both my blood draws were at 8am. We got the results for the first one about 4pm and the results for the second at 3pm. My second beta was 60! So, we are officially pregnant! I can’t wait to watch this boy be a big brother. He will be the best.

He’s very excited. My first ultrasound is in early November. I will feel a little more relaxed once we’re able to see that the baby is growing properly.

Back to some regular news – I got a little trim Wednesday afternoon. I badly needed one!

This bag is Coop’s new favorite place to play.

These are the vitamins and supplements I take every day right now. Some of these I always take, but a lot of them we added when we started our mock transfer.

I had my second blood draw Thursday morning. I’ve been testing at home and getting positives since Saturday, but we had some lines that didn’t really seem to be getting darker, so we spent a few days feeling discouraged thinking I was maybe having a chemical pregnancy. I cried about it a few times. Thankfully, my lines started to get darker and I got this beautiful digital YES the morning of second beta. Since this is our last go at a baby, no matter the outcome, I am soaking up every single part of this pregnancy.

Coop woke up with a little cold Thursday morning, so we spent some time snuggling on the couch watching Bluey. There’s nothing better than his snuggles.

Blood drawn! Then the waiting began. I tried to stay busy Thursday. It’s hard to concentrate on writing when you’re so anxious to get news. I’m currently working on some revisions to an article I submitted for publication, so hopefully now that we know the outcome from this transfer, I can focus a little better.

The text I sent the second our clinic called with the results from my second beta.

Just holding your firstborn and crying while you thank Jesus that he gets to be a big brother. My heart.

Thank you for praying over us and this sweet baby! We feel the prayers, and appreciate them more than I can say! Thank you, thank you!

I have a fun girls’ night tonight seeing a comedy show – I can’t wait! Then we have a wedding Saturday night. I can’t wait to squeeze all of our friends!

Happy Friday, friends!
