My least favorite household task is dusting. I don’t know why, I’ve just always disliked it. BUT, Jake reminded me that we had THESE dusters and man, they really do make dusting more enjoyable. I love that these have a lavender scent to them, too.

I lifted AND ran on Wednesday…who am I? It felt good to finally knock out both things. Runs have been hit or miss lately, but I’m hopeful I can get into a little bit better of a routine.

Sometimes ya just need to wear your new slippers and your mom’s race medals.

We went to a super fun Fall Festival Wednesday evening and got to rock our Halloween costumes for this year – just a few dinos out on the town!

The cutest dinosaur I’ve ever seen.

The sweetest dinosaur and monkey! The boys loved getting to see the animals at the petting zoo. Coop was obsessed with the cows and pigs.

He was unsure about the donkey, but finally gave him a little pet.

Another highlight of the night was the fire truck. Both boys were in awe. Looking at the very top of the ladder made my stomach churn, so I kept my eyes on the ground. I guess I’m getting scared of heights the older I get?

Just a dino and his egg. We had the best time seeing all the costumes and helping pass out candy.

We had a swim lesson Thursday afternoon for Coop to do his clothes test. They have to float for two minutes fully clothed. He had on a long sleeved onesie, pants, socks, shoes, and a jacket.

He did it! It was amazing to watch. This is supposed to replicate if a kiddo falls into a body of water fully clothed. I am so dang proud of Coop and the hard work he has put into learning these skills. My parents and Jake’s parents came to cheer him on. You’re amazing, Cooper Ray!

His Tutu got him these sunnies as a reward for passing his test and working so hard. He loves them!

I had girls’ night last night, so Jake and I traded cars. We only have one car seat right now since Coop has outgrown one of them, so sometimes it’s just easier to trade vehicles than move the car seat. We need to just get a second seat. But since I had the van, I made Jayme crawl onto the bed to see how comfortable it is.

Girls’ nights are good for the soul! We sat outside and listened to live music. It was perfect.

We don’t have any crazy plans this weekend, which we’re excited about! We will finally have some time to get back to working on our remodel. We’re both anxious to finish a few more projects. Stay tuned!
Happy Friday, friends!
