We got to see our baby! + emotional + laundry loop

We had our first ultrasound Wednesday late afternoon! I was anxious and nervous all day. Even though we had gotten positive tests and my blood work came back good, it’s still nerve wracking waiting to see if there’s really a baby. And making sure that baby is where it should be and that it’s developing like it should. I know there are no guarantees and we still have a long way to go, but seeing a baby in that first scan anyways helps my anxiety. A little.

These two snacked while we waited for my ultrasound to start.

The second we saw our sweet baby and it’s heartbeat, I felt instant relief. He or she is so perfect!! Baby is measuring right where it should – I was six weeks on Wednesday, and has a strong heartbeat. Thank you, Jesus, for this miracle!

Coop kept saying, “baby” and it melted me. I can’t wait to watch him as a big brother.

After our scan, I needed Chinese food. So Jake made sure I got some. YUM.

I love watching these two play. They wrestle all the time, too…boys.

These are all the shots I’ve done so far in this second transfer. This baby is worth every single needle stick.

He is growing up so fast. I’m extra emotional about that right now. I’m sure it will only get worse the closer we get to adding another baby.

Afternoons are rough for me, so they’re looking a lot like this right now. I just get super nauseated, bad headaches, and feel exhausted.

Two of his own drinks and he still wants my water. Ha!

I don’t know how we got so lucky with this sweet boy.

Poor Rhea…ha! Coop’s new favorite chore is feeding Rhea. He gets to feed her breakfast and dinner and he takes it every seriously. He carries her cup full of food to her bowl, dumps it in, then puts the cup back into the bin of food. I love watching him help us.

Wild Thursday night – watching Yellowstone after the baby goes to bed and folding ALL the laundry!

Happy Friday, friends!
