I was craving Rice Krispies treats on Monday, so we made some. They hit the spot!

The marshmallows’ expiration date was baby’s estimated due date, so it was a sign that we definitely needed to make these.

Our afternoons are spent on the couch right now. I start to feel pretty crummy about 2pm every day. I know it gets better, so we’re just taking it one day at a time.

Coop is the sweetest boy in the entire world.

His new favorite thing is to wedge himself between the bed in my office and the wall. He giggles hysterically each time he gets stuck. It’s hilarious. This will be his room once the baby comes! We have lots of projects we need to knock out before that happens…

We did get a few small projects knocked out this week. One of them was replacing the light on the front of our house. The old one was awful. I don’t know why it took us so long to do this, but we both love how it turned out!

Just a boy and his pup.

Our junk drawers were seriously stressing me out. They had really gotten out of control. I took 30 minutes and some old containers and tidied them up.

SO much better!

I finally got out for a run on Tuesday. I felt pretty decent! I get winded super easily right now, so I do a run/walk combo, but it feels good to still be running. I didn’t run at all with Coop’s pregnancy because our clinic didn’t want me to, so I’m thankful things changed this time around.

Hi, little babe!

Stilllll eating cheese, mayonnaise, and honey mustard sandwiches for lunch. Mmm. I added some cheddar and caramel popcorn this week. So. Good.

Since we don’t know the gender of this baby, we ordered the SneakPeek blood sample kit, which allows you to find out at six weeks or later. We knew Coop was a boy before we transferred him due to the testing we did before he was frozen. Even thought we tested both embryos, this current baby’s sample didn’t have enough DNA in it to determine the gender. That doesn’t mean anything bad! Just that the sample wasn’t big enough. So, we get to find out, which is kind of fun! The kit was SO easy to use. This is what you suction to your arm to collect the blood to send to the lab. You push that blue part until it clicks, which is when the tiny little needles hit your skin. I was a little anxious to do this, which is silly, since I give myself an injection every single day, but I couldn’t feel this at all!

Once it’s on your arm and you’ve pressed the blue lever, it collects the sample. It took maybe 30 seconds for mine to be finished. So easy! Then I shipped this back to the lab and now we wait for results!

This is what the little needles did. They were in a circle and just barely pierced my skin. Definitely pain-free!

Working mom life sometimes looks like this – wild toddler climbing on the dog, never-ending laundry, and a Zoom meeting. Thankful this meeting wasn’t a huge deal, so I was able to get away with just listening to it. The best kind of chaos.

When that afternoon nausea hits…we retreat to the couch.

We had our second ultrasound today. Baby looks great! I am 7 weeks pregnant and Baby is growing just like he or she should. <3

Happy Wednesday, friends!
