Asleep on the job + birthday fun + Santa!

Coop sat in on my last faculty meeting of the semester on Monday. He passed out toward the end, so I don’t think he was very interested in what was happening. The second it wrapped up, we both crawled into bed for naps. It was wonderful. My mom came over once we woke up and I knocked out a bunch of work. Counting down the days to break! Only a few more things to do before I get about five weeks off.

Coop is still going to swim once a week. Since he passed his float test, he’s now learning how to swim. It’s so fun watching him!

I really wanted McDonald’s for dinner Monday – a burger, fries, and a McFlurry (good ole pregnancy craving) BUT, I had dinner in the crockpot, so that’s what we had. Roast, sweet potatoes, and shells and cheese. It was pretty good! I have always eaten my roast with ketchup on it.

Dinner was followed by a little ice cream.

Tuesday was a super productive day. I knocked out a bunch of work and got our house cleaned. I have been putting off cleaning because I haven’t felt great, but I felt decent enough yesterday to finally get things cleaned and picked up. It feels much better! It was also my friend, Kayla’s, birthday, so Coop and I took her to lunch and then we went to my Dad’s office and she cleaned my teeth! I’m sure getting to clean my teeth REALLY made her day. HA!

When Jake got off work, we took little man to Bass Pro to see Santa. He was a big fan of the wooden bear out front. It’s so fun to see him take in everything this year. He was too little last year to really be interested. I love seeing things through his eyes.

He was still unsure about Santa, but he did give him a few high fives and fist bumps.

We hopped on the carousel after seeing Santa. Both Jake and I got nauseated riding it. We were thankful it didn’t run for very long!

We got some good snuggles in this morning while watching a little Bluey. I love our lazy mornings.

We are off to check on baby boy! This is my last ultrasound at Woman’s Clinic, who has done all my monitoring appointments for the last three years. It’s definitely bittersweet! I start seeing my new OB next week. I can’t believe we’re graduating from both the clinic here in town and our IVF clinic in STL. Wow. We are 11 weeks today!

Happy Monday, friends!
