We went to my parents’ house for dinner Friday night. My sister and her family were there, too. After dinner, the karaoke madness started. Eleanor was singing at the top of her lungs and Coop was dancing with his microphone. It was hilarious. And really loud.

Saturday morning started with a little sleeping in (until 6:45, that is), breakfast, some play time, and then bath time. Coop loves bath time. So much so that we cannot do baths before bed. He gets way too excited.

After Coop’s bath, it was Lulu’s turn. She was less enthusiastic about her time in the tub.

The cutest, sweetest boy in the whole world.

Jake delivered Jimmy John’s to me in bed while Cooper snoozed. Best husband ever.

I couldn’t nap, so I got up and started working on organizing the room that is currently my office. The room Coop is in now will become the baby’s nursery, so Coop will move into the room that is currently my office. We want to make this move fairly soon so Coop doesn’t feel like he’s getting kicked out of his room. I’m excited to decorate a big boy room for him! We have a bedroom set in this room currently and the dressers were full of all the clothes I want to keep, but that don’t fit me right now. Soooo, I transferred them all to boxes so we can store them until I’m ready to try everything on. We are also working on making our spare room/den into our office space, so we have lots of work to do before baby brother joins us! We are also in the process of finishing our master bathroom, sooooo, there’s lots to do before June…

We grabbed dinner out Saturday night and it was amazing. We went to Everyday Thai, which is one of my favorites. I always get their Pad Thai with tofu. It’s the BEST. Coop loves it, too.

Sunday morning, we met Jake’s parents for brunch. Why does this handsome dude look like a teenager? I am not okay.

Jake helped a friend with some house stuff yesterday afternoon, so little man and I did some crafting.

Then we made a fort. Turns out, I am not real good at building forts…

But we had fun anyway.

We spent the evening with our friends watching the Chiefs play and eating the most delicious dinner. Thank you, Chris & Britt! I sure do love watching our boys play together.

Brittany also sent us home with homemade bagels. I had one this morning and it was absolutely the best bagel I’ve ever had. So. Amazing.

We have been getting freezing rain since midnight, so we’re stuck inside today. Poor Jake is at work. I’m praying they don’t have a busy day and that no one has their power go out. The roads are sheets of ice! People have been posting about how bad it is. I’m so thankful we are stuck inside and I can knock out some work in pockets of time. Praying safety for anyone who has to get out in this or is experiencing bad weather wherever they live!
Happy Monday, friends!
