Weekend Wrap-up: Riley updates – please keep praying & sharing + Coop’s big boy room + thankful for our people

We have a few updates (below), but Riley is still missing. Please continue sharing and praying – we appreciate each of you so much. We need Riley home.

Some girls searching the area where his phone last pinged (near the riverbank) found his debit card. But this is all we know at this time. We have been blessed by SO many people helping with the search. <3

A sweet friend, Sharon, dropped off all these goodies Friday afternoon. It absolutely blessed our day. Coop and I inhaled a salad and the mashed potatoes. We are saving the pot pies to share with Jake.

I spent the week working on Coop’s big boy room. I got the decals put up early in the week, then got started with these dinosaur prints I found on Etsy. I had them printed at FedEx and found some cheap frames at Walmart.

While Coop napped, I got everything hung up. This was tough to get lined up and I know it’s not perfect, but it’s good enough for me! Coop LOVES them.

I love how the prints look with the decals. Next up: hang curtains! This room is still a mess. It has some remodel stuff, some garage sale stuff, some baby stuff, and some of Coop’s stuff. We are slowly working on clearing it out.

We have been soaking up lots of outside time.

My parents took us to dinner Friday night. After we ate, we all came back to our house for some of the key lime pie from my friend. It was delicious!

I am almost 26 weeks now, but this comparison to Jurassic Park made me laugh, especially since we still don’t have a name for baby brother and are calling him Baby Dino.

We had the best donut delivery Saturday morning from Jake’s mom, sister, and my future brother-in-law. Safety glasses are always a good idea at our house if Coop decides to throw things…

We don’t have the room ready that will be my office, so things are just temporarily going in different places. Since we haven’t gotten a big rug for out here yet, I moved the rug from my office. It’ll work for now!

Saturday evening, we headed to the aquarium. We all want to be with family right now.

I feel like Coop just went through a growth spurt – he looks so big to me.

We came home to the most beautiful yard and cleaned up landscaping. Huge thank you to family friends, Zach and Mike, who mowed and trimmed our yard. Another huge thank you to Jake’s Nanny, Wynona, who spent her entire day cleaning up our flower beds and weeding. We have the absolute best people. Thank you, thank you. I cannot thank everyone enough for supporting us. It means the world.

Someone had to sleep with Dory, Nemo, and Squirt after seeing them at the aquarium, ha! I think he talked about Nemo and Dory the entire time we were in the aquarium.

I attempted to hang the curtain rod in this room, but had to call in reinforcements – thank you, Dad!!! The major projects in this room are finished, which feels good. Now to finish organizing and getting things ready for Coop to be in here. He already loves this room so much.

More outside time in the sunshine.

Sometimes you need to drink both your chocolate milk and water at the same time.

Almost 26 weeks with baby brother! We sure can’t wait to meet you, little one.

Happy Monday, friends – stay safe!
