I am sure everyone has seen the news by now, but they found Riley’s body in the river. We knew this was a possibility, but it was not the outcome we wanted. Jake called to tell me early Friday morning. He and his dad had just left to head back to Nashville to be with our family there. I just wanted to hug all of them. They continued on to Nashville to be with everyone, so when Cooper asked to sleep with me Friday night, I couldn’t say no. Neither of us likes it when Jake is gone. I don’t really have the words to express how heartbroken we all are – if you were blessed enough to know Riley, you know how amazing he was. Kind, funny, smart, and really, really loved his mama. We are holding on tight to each other right now. Thank you for the continued prayers and support. We cannot thank you enough. <3

Banana muffins are always a good idea.

They finally got some of the granite in Saturday morning. They SHOULD be finishing up Tuesday…they’ve rescheduled on us multiple times, which affects our next guy coming to measure, which is frustrating, but it’ll all get done eventually.

I sold the two rugs we had in Coop’s nursery and I got a new one for baby brother and a new one for Coop’s big boy room. Just trying to get this one to flatten.

I love how shaggy this one is!

Extra thankful for family time this weekend. I think we are all soaking up as much time together as we can get.

Michelle (aka Aunt Mitchel) brought Coop home this green dinosaur. He is obsessed with it and has been sleeping with it. <3

I can’t stop putting dinosaurs in Coop’e new room…

I took this last week when Jake was home for a few days. Cooper sure does love his Daddy.

I think it’s supposed to rain all day here today, so we’ll be stuck inside. I can’t believe it’s the last week of March!
Happy Monday, friends!
