Big brother is very excited to meet baby brother. We had a slow morning Thursday and just soaked up some extra snuggles on the couch.

On Friday, we celebrated Riley’s life. Our morning started with a private burial for the family. Coop loves his Aunt Mitchel (Michelle, Riley’s mama), and gave her all the snuggles. After the burial, we had a breakfast as a family and then headed to the visitation. We were amazed at the outpouring of love and support. I know people waited in line for hours and didn’t make it in to see us. Please know we appreciate the support and prayers so very much! After the visitation, we had a beautiful celebration of life, followed by an early dinner as a family. It was a full, difficult day, but one that we got through because we had each other. There were also lots of memories and smiles shared. Riley lives on in all of our hearts. <3

We all wore green in Riley’s honor.

I am beyond thankful to have married into such an incredible family.

We had a slow Saturday morning at home before meeting Jake’s parents and sister for breakfast. Then it was back home for nap time. Coop and I passed out for two hours. I don’t think either one of us moved the entire time we were snoozing. I can tell I’m almost in the third trimester. I am TIRED.

Saturday afternoon, we met Jake’s parents and sister again at Wire Road to enjoy the weather and listen to some live music. Coop had the best time exploring and dancing.

Sunday morning started with an Easter egg hunt for Coop, followed by him stacking all kinds of toys on top of Rhea. She’s the most patient dog in the entire world.

We headed to church with Jake’s family Easter morning. Coop was frustrated he couldn’t wear a hat into church.

Jake kneeled to pray and Coop immediately joined him. It was so sweet.

Thank you, Jesus, for these boys of mine!

Some of my favorite people. <3

After church, we attempted a nap for Coop before meeting my family for brunch, but he was not ready to go down, so we scratched that idea. Coop wasn’t too sure about the Easter Bunny at first, but he warmed up to him.

He finally gave him knucks AND a high five, so it was a success.

Easter egg hunts are very serious business.

After we ate, the cousins opened up their Easter baskets from Tutu and Papa.

Full bellies and hearts.

Someone passed out the second we started driving home. With an open book in his lap of course.

Coop and Jake both took a little nap when we got home, then we all headed to Jake’s parents’ house for dinner with everyone. It was a fun-fill, packed day, but we spent it in the best way – celebrating Jesus and with our families.
Happy Monday, friends!
