Weekend Wrap-up: garage sale + food fail + I think I could sleep for two straight days…

What. A. Weekend. I’m so worn out. We had a garage sale Friday and Saturday. It was SO busy. We got rid of so much stuff, which feels good, but after those two busy days, I was whoooooped. I think I could sleep for 48 hours straight. I’m glad we didn’t wait to do this sale until May…I think that would’ve been impossible.

Coop is VERY independent these days. We hear “I do” or “Cooper do it” multiple times a day. One of his favorite things is climbing into his high chair by himself. Then he immediately asks to pray. It’s adorable.

I found our waffle maker when I was going through sale stuff from our storage unit. Of course I kept it and of course I needed waffles as soon as I found it. We were out of mix, so I made some homemade mix and holy moly – it was so easy and so delicious. I think I’m done buying the mix!

Major food fail. I finally decided chicken sounded okay, so I made one of our favorite meals – sticky rice, teriyaki chicken, and veggies. I poured a bunch of Yum Yum sauce on mine and started chowing down. It tasted kind of funny, so I checked the date on the sauce. It was expired. UUUUGH. I ended up throwing out my whole meal and making a smoothie. Jake ate his and was fine, but I was nervous to eat it with being pregnant. I was so sad.

Sometimes ya just need to match. <3

Garage sale prep started Thursday afternoon. We had so much stuff. You couldn’t walk through our garage. My mom and sister both brought things over. It was crazy.

It was chilly Friday morning when the sale started, so we all got bundled up. Coop was very into helping….AKA playing with anything he could get his hands on.

I think we all went to bed by 8pm Friday night. Then it was up early on Saturday to do it all again! This kid always wants both his chocolate milk and his water. Always.

Tell me you have girl cousins without telling me…

We took a much-needed nap together Sunday afternoon. I will never stop loving these sweet cuddles.

Since I have A- blood, I have to get the Rhogam shot if I have any bleeding and before delivery as a precaution. Thankfully, I haven’t had any bleeding since our scare at nine weeks, but I go in today to get the shot for delivery! They last 12 weeks, and we’re 10 weeks out from meeting this baby. 10 weeks. Holy moly. The shot is not fun – it goes in your hip muscle and immediately causes a huge bruise, but I’d get it every day if it meant my babies would be healthy and safe.

I also have a bunch of virtual first interviews today for the professor position we’re hiring for at my university. I’m looking forward to meeting our candidates and hiring someone who will get to help me with the programs I run.

Happy Monday, friends!
